Outside your hotel loose and baggy down to knees and elbows and up to neck. It is actually cooler and safer in the sun than strappt tops.

Inside your hotel around the swimming pool swimming costumes and bikinis but I would not wear a thong

Yes, you should wear suitable clothes in respect to the country.

Like akshar said, baggy clothes, the more the better. No spaghetti tops or hot pants to say at last.

Anyway if you wear inappropriate clothing you will find out quickly what "hassle" means.

It is going to be very, very hot and I advise you also to take a short trip to a Red Sea beach. This is more where you will be able to get some tan and don't feel so umcomfortable about other people's looks.

Well thats a good piece of advice from the mates overhere, get with u some sunblocks too preferably " photoderm SPF 100 " and white clothes for less sun irritation and yeah whenever u get to get on streets u better be wearing loose clothes half sleeves or long sleeves are ok, but avoid tight clothes and short ones and hopefully u will enjoy it

Egypt is exactly the place to pick up a tan, at the matter of fact it the best place to get a tan without those nasty tan lines (hint,hint). The less you wear the better, casue july and august at the hottest months in egypt...if you need someone to rub some oil on your ,hopefuly, great body just let me know, I get great hands

It depends on where are u going. If u go to Sharm or Hurgada u can weare whatever u want.

If u go to Cairo, Alex etc u'd better take somthing long, that will hide ur legs, arms and shoulders. Better to have it wight, as there are too much sun. U will feel better in such clothers when u go to the excursions or walk in the street in big cities.

When I go to the crowded places (market for ex) I prefer to put smth on the head and hide my hairs. (But it's my own crasy idea)

I flew with them couple of times and I never ever had a problem.

About wearing white clothes because of less sun irritation .... well, just to tell you this much, they will not stay white for a long time.

The nightlife in Cairo is incredible. Actually I wasn't able to enjoy it the last six years but I know good nightclubs operating and some new pubs opened up in the meantime.

Egyptian people are very much outgoing and happy folks. You also will find many foreigners living and enjoying the nightlife.

Maybe some other ES members can give you some good advises where to go.

But definitely don't miss out on a feluka ride on the nile - even at night. You also can buy tickets for boats where they entertain you the Egyptian way you know with traditional food, dancing etc.

Gosh, just from talking about - I want to go there now too.

Again, have so much fun ..... it is so different than Europe.

Oh, by the way, there is nothing better than to be outgoing! And how do you want to calm down, you will pop some pills?! It's your vacation girl, so enjoy it! Hopefully you're not going to visit Egypt all by yourself!

well just be urself and be modest and yeah be modest in ur clothes, u shall get the tan, dont worry, if u didnt pick it up, ill just pack u some from mine and give it all for free hahahaha..
well its always good enough to respect the traditions about clothes within the city but for sure ull enjoy all inshallah

iam from sweden also visiting cairo and i asked for the same clubs in downtown from EgyptianDoc77 the other day but unfortunately he isnt into this

I'd guess that if your intention is to offend people, and be treated like trash as well, that you could get away with a lot more.

GG. yes you can certainly pick up a tan, be very hot when your there though !! and NO please dont wear short clothes you will offend there culture and you will be thought of as very very cheap ! if you have booked a trip to egypt surely you want to see some of its history and learn about its culture ? going semi naked is not the way to do it like Artemi said , even the women in the link is wearing TOO LITTLE !
