I am new here but had already lots of fun reading all those brilliant posts from and about Egypt. But can I ask a question?.. There are so many topics about Russians (especially Russian women) on this forum, what's a reason of such a biiiig interest? I am shocked... I didn't know Russians are so popular somewhere abroad. Lol. No, I don't want to say it's bad (anyway since i am Russian it's a big honour to me...) Just I am curious. Cheers IP: Logged

Inspite of the fact that I've never been in Egypt I have the best opinion about Egyptian people. Actually the best friend I ever had is an Egyptian girl(we were studying together abroad). I wish I can visit Cairo once in the future! And... Dear Arx, you say there are some hmmm, not so good women from Russia you met? Awe!!! You seem to be a professional in this question. And the reason being that intellectually, Russians are interesting people to talk to and enjoy deep subjects. Russia has the highest educational level in the world (more than 40% of the total population have college or university degree). Since Perestroika* started, however, the system of higher (university) education is slowly deteriorating as well as the medical aid system, which used to be among the world's best. And do you still have a lot of Egyptian students frequenting it, for their Doctorate? I heard it was common during the 60's, when Egypt had an alliance with Russia. Best regards, Monica As I know we still have a lot of students from Arabian countries in Moscow and St.Peterburg (unfortunately i don't have an information about Doctorate And in the university I work at we have lots of Chinese students also from Japan, Pakistan and Siria coming here by the international exchange programm. Well, let us ask well educated, open minded Egyptian men: Russian women are marvelous! this is the answer we will get. Why: I will explain. First of all, they are traditional, very feminine, affectionate, beautiful, family oriented. And these are perfect qualities for successful relationship. The second thing is that Egyptian men are amazed by high level of education and professional training. In general, you could say that they are more feminine in a traditional sense. Russian women dress well, pay a lot of attention to their looks, are seldom overweight. Being a family oriented to a Russian woman doesn't mean they prefer to stay home with the kids. The opposite is true: combining a job with children is a perfectly normal thing for a Russian woman. But family interests are always more important to her than her own concerns. On the other hand, Russian women find that the Egyptian men are perfect for them. Russian women expect their man to be the head of the family. They are trying to find a responsible life-mate which is very difficult in Russian society. They look for what's positive in a man and not what's negative. But towards what or whom?. There is of course people who think the girls are into it for money, but are they to blame for it - no. Another example of negative stereotypes about Russian women: some men believed Russian women are prostitutes. Yes, some of them working in Egypt as belly dancers, but this doesn't mean prostitution. And there is a joke in Egypt, that if people leave their flats because there is a belly dancer in the flat besides them, so most people will live in the streets...lol The fact that they receive junk email about "naked Russian women," etc, so they think all Russians are the same. Without any prove I will also say that Egyptians and Russian has some other similarities. Like Egyptians are discount shoppers, and Russians are very economical. So what do U think now? Thank you so much, from ALL my heart... I just came back home, I had such a hard day, but nothing can be difficult when you have Friends. People around me - that is the most important thing in my life. Most of all I love to talk someone who will listen to me... and will understand me... and will laugh when I have something funny to tell... and will cry together me if I am so sad... and will give a good advise if I got into troubles... And for sure I will always do the same for my Friends... I came on this board just couple of days ago but I have a felling I do know all people here as I met you, guys before... It is very insulting for a Russian woman to be confused with other CIS countries; it's like calling an American a Canadian or calling an Egyptian a Jordanian etc. What most of you men need to understand is that not every Eastern European woman that visits your country is a Prostitute!
