I have heard various theories about the posibility of the origin of the Djed colum. Some Egyptologist translate it as meaning stability;others say that it was a spinal colum of Ausar. Every year the Kemetians would have a ceremony called Rasing the Djed the possibly tied back to when Set cut Ausar into many pieces and was put back toghter by Auset. That is a good website,Neb. I was hoping,however,that I could perhaps start active dialogue about the uses of the Djed column. When I did a webserch for the Djed column I found the same exact website that you post on the message board. Thanks for the website though. You partisipation in the conversation is much appreciated.
