Hi umadnan!

You’re probably better asking the language centers this as they can give you an idea of what price range they can get an apartment for you for, as it would be difficult for you to get something for a decent price as a foreigner for only two months in the summer. Unless you have local contacts who can help you, it would be better to let the center organize it for you.

As to your other costs, you can probably live on as little as 1,000 LE per month for a single person (excluding rent) if all you want to do is live simply on local food and concentrate on your studies, and you could even go back with some change depending how simply you lived. But if you want to travel around, see Egypt and the sights, eat out every night, have a wild social life you would probably need at least five to ten times that amount! (Here is a good money exchange converter: http://www.xe.com/ucc/)

I have studied here, but as I indicated, it is very difficult to tell you how much it will cost you unless you give an idea of how you want to live here, what your expectations are in terms of lifestyle and standards, and also where you will be studying as costs vary from area to area.
