Yes, I read a report on the BBC recently about the 23 nuns who lived at the heart of the Vatican and were pregnant. Needless to say by whom.

I am in UK , never heard this, from the BBC or any where else.

So produce the link if you want people to believe you.

Nothing wrong with a gynaecologist in the Vatican, since nuns are women.

In case you do not know, a Gynaecologist is a doctor who specialises in diseases of women, even those who have never been touched by man, since they still have diseases of women justlike any other woman such as breast, ovarian , uterine cancer, ovarian cysts.....etc.

On the other hand an Obstetrician is a doctor who specialises in child birth and its problems....

So to think it scandalous to have a Gynaecologist in the Vatican, just exposes your ignorance...nothing more !

Makes me wounder what is your purpose in this.

Suppose there is one or two nuns who have sinned, does that make the Vatican a den of inequity? , they are human after all.

Are all Moslims and their clerics pure and holy?.

I lost in the last 1 and half years 2 justweeksold babys, because the pill didn't work and I didn't know that I am pregnant, until the 'abort' happen without my doing and knowhow.
That's all.
And I was suffering and tired for weeks after.
An 'abort' doesn't mean that you kill your baby, but it dies byitself, as Allah wrote it before.

Hi Alana. I, too, grew up in a strict Catholic environment before I converted to Islam. I understand your words and your concerns.

You are right that tolerance is needed a little bit more from us all, and even I have been guilty of throwing stones. I think we all have at some point. I do not quote from the Bible anymore, but I will remind of the passage here 'let he who is without sin....'.

However, this is a public forum where it gives us all an opportunity to post and discuss topics of all aspects. Your points were valid and reasonable and you made yourself known in a most polite and logical way. However, please keep in mind for those of us who are religious these topics are very important to discuss. Yes we all admit mistakes are made, so we discuss them. We don't sweep them under the carpet and ignore them in the hopes it makes them any less real.
Only by learning about and discussing the past and history can we avoid making the same mistakes. This goes for any relgions, as you might have noticed, Islam gets beaten up quite a bit as well. Have you gone there to defend it too?

Charley has been very ill and had to return to England for awhile. I think he is back in Egypt now and, hopefully, will post soon. All of us know what a miscarriage is, Sara, and no one really believes you would do anything else.
