business. That famous quote from President Coolidge is as true today as it has ever been. Capitalism has produced wealth for most Americans unseen in anywhere in the history of the world. Government is not the solution, it is always the problem. The key to our growth is to get government out of the way and allow business to do what it has always done, produce freedom and prosperity for our people. The warnings are clear for all to hear. One only has to look at the mess in Europe to see where socialism and big government always lead. Americans will make the neccessary reforms or business will simply leave the country for greener pastures. A return to solid Constitutional principles will insure that America continues to be a shining city on a hill, a beacon for the world to follow.

Sickness benefit scandal revealed: Just 6% of incapacity handout claimants can't work:
The exploitation of sickness benefits was laid bare today as new figures showed just six per cent of claimants should receive the handouts.
Most people who apply for the Employment and Support Allowance are found fit to work or give up their claim before the medical test.
The Coalition said it had published the data to justify its insistence that huge savings can be made in the welfare system without unfair penalties. Unfair handouts: Most people who apply for the Employment and Support Allowance are found fit to work, new figures have shown (posed by models) The figures show that for ESA claims made between October 2008 and May 2010, just six per cent were seen as incapable of work and in need of unconditional support.
Another 16 per cent were considered unable to work now but felt would be able to do so soon if they received the right help.
More than a third - 39 per cent - of all applicants were considered fit to start working again immediately, according to the Department for Work and Pensions.
Another 39 per cent withdrew their claim before the assessment was complete or are still being assessed.

WASHINGTON — The United States is currently the world biggest weapons supplier — holding 30 per cent of the market — but the Obama administration has begun modifying export control regulations in hopes of enlarging the U.S. market share, according to U.S. officials.
President Barack Obama already has taken the first steps by tucking new language into the Iran sanctions bill signed in early July. His aides are now compiling the "munitions list," which regulates the sale of military items.
The administration's stated reason for the changes is to simplify the sale of weapons to U.S. allies, but potential spinoffs include generating business for the U.S. defense industry, creating jobs and contributing to Obama's drive to double U.S. exports by 2015.
So, as you see, the US/Israel connection is as committed as ever to increasing the level of war, strife, and genocide around the world.

The agency contracted to assess benefit claimants gets a bonus for every one that they find fit to work. 75% of claimants get benefits reinstated after appealing. The whole thing is a big scam which makes individual people's lives a misery while they wait for their appeal to be processed. I know of people who have been so ill that they have died shortly after being judged fit to work. The system also does not take mental illness into account, which can be just as debilitating as physical illness. This article is a disgrace. - Woebegone, Wolverhampton, UK, 25/1/2011 21:08
