Paula and Peter Imafidon are just like any other nine-year-olds. They love laughing, playing on the computer, fighting with each other. What sets these twins apart from their peers, though, is that they are, hands down, prodigies, who are about to enter high school and make British history as the youngest to do so.
The precocious London-based tykes, known as the "Wonder Twins," floored academicians a year ago, when they aced a difficult University of Cambridge's Advanced Mathematics exam with flying colors. They were the youngest students to have ever passed the test.
The future little scholars' father, Chris, and mother, Ann, immigrated to Britain from Nigeria more than 30 years ago and have actually been down this prodigy route before with their three older children, who are also overachievers.
The couple's oldest daughter, Anne-Marie, is now 20, but at age 13, she won a British government scholarship to take undergraduate courses at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Christiana, 17, their other daughter, is the youngest student ever to study at the undergraduate level in any British University at the age of 11. Youngest daughter, Samantha, now 12, passed two rigorous high school–level mathematics and statistics exams at the age of 6, and mentored the twins to pass their own math secondary school test when they were also 6.
Even with all of this, the proud Dad denies that there is any particular genius in his family. He does credit his children's success to the Excellence in Education program for disadvantaged inner city youth. "Every child is a genius," he said. "Once you identify the talent of a child and put them in the environment that will nurture that talent, then the sky is the limit. Look at Tiger Woods or the Williams sisters - they were nurtured. You can never rule anything out with them, the competition between the two of them makes them excel in anything they do."
The darling duo are competitive to say the least, and this is what fuels them to out-achieve each other. Paula said, "I am excited to pass, but I should have got higher than Peter."
As far as career paths Paula says she wants to be a math teacher, while Peter aspires to be Prime Minister one day.

Where on earth does it say Mensa awarded him with the smartest man? He does not even have the highest IQ in the world. Marilyn Savant who has an IQ score of 228, has the highest IQ in the world.
Emeagwali's contributions to supercomputing just weren't all that significant. He didn't invent the Connection Machine, and he didn't build the fastest supercomputer constructed in the year in which he won the Gordon Bell Prize not even the fastest based on the Connection Machine. His machine was only the second fastest. Normally, the prize was given out both to the fastest overall supercomputer and to the most cost-effective. In that year, however, the fastest computer was built by a team at Mobil. and that computer was also the most cost-effective. The judges decided not to award both prizes to the same computer. So Emeagwali won for his second-place entry.

MYTH #1:
Emeagwali made the "world's fastest computation" in 1989
Each year since 1987, the judges for the annual Gordon Bell competition have given out multiple prizes for supercomputing applications, usually including one for performance (fastest speed), and one for price/performance (best speed/cost ratio; specifically, "price-performance ratio as measured in megaflop/s per dollar on a genuine application").
Despite what you may have read on the Internet, the 1989 prize for the fastest performance was awarded not to Emeagwali, but to another entrant:
In the performance category, we awarded the prize to a team from Mobil Research and Development and Thinking Machines Corp. [...] Their solution of a seismic data-processing problem ran at almost 6 Gflops on a CM-2 Connection Machine.

Nor are the selection criteria analogous: Emeagwali was awarded for his performance in an annual competition, not in recognition of lasting contributions to his field.

The number of Emeagwali's patents or patent applications is sometimes claimed to be as high as 30. However, a search of the USPTO and esp@cenet patent databases (as of September 2003) reveals the true number to be zero. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, which has a fully searchable online database for all U.S. patents since 1976 as well as all current applications, simply has nothing on file for Emeagwali.

"Dr." Emeagwali?
Emeagwali is frequently referred to on his own and other websites as "Dr. Philip Emeagwali" or simply "Dr. Emeagwali." Though he did in fact enroll in a PhD program at the University of Michigan, he did not get the degree after failing his qualification examinations twice and having his thesis rejected by a committee of faculty member. Emeagwali subsequently sued the university, alleging civil rights violations and racial discrimination. His case was dismissed without trial. In order to be considered a genius, most cognitive and differential psychologists agree that one requires an IQ of above 140 on the WAIS. No, both you and "Whatbox" don't have the IQ to comprehend just what it is that you are reading. Those Nigerian twin boys are starting high school at the age of 9. That baby-faced genius is only 12 and already he is pursuing an honours degree in Math. If you don't know anything about how the education system is structured in the UK, Canada and the Commonwealth allow me to fill you in: When you begin your secondary education you typically spend four or five years at either a public or private high school in preperation for the O-level Examinations or GCSEs. If upon completion of these assesments you have aquired satisfactory grades you may then move on to the next level and attend what is known as a Sixth Form College for two years at the end of which you do the GCE A-level examinations. Only upon completion of the A-levels do you then move on to attend a university. Do the math and you find that you have either 6 or 7 years of schooling before you even step foot on a university campus. If there is anyone who is 3 or 4 years behind its those Nigerian boys (provided they don't skip any years, they would have completed high school at either the ages of 15 or 16) and not the 12 year old Math prodigy.

Regarding the rest of your post, I doubt greatly that you know any high IQ people, especially if your implying that these people are black (five in six Afro Americans score lower than the white average IQ of 100). And yes, while environment, or as you put it "creating a culture of success" is important, it is more often than enough grossly overstated by the difference deniers. Genes matter! And as far as that statement about how all these high IQ people you happen to know becoming underachievers, I find it quite odd that that observation completely contradicts with the mountain of scientific evidence to the contrary:

There is always the exception that proves the rule. Blacks genrally have very low IQ levels. Despite all of our efforts and trillions of dollars they remain in the low 70s.

No, i wasn't implying they were black in fact most were white but my point was a know quite a few who haven't as of yet outdone people with lesser Intelligence Quotients, but then each of these has their own situations in life, some folks just aren't in position they may have to leave school to care for others, and often times, Americans of any class have alternative avenue outs and so lack the motivation and ambition to dedicate themselves to da "handle biz now play later" mindset. Of course this is not the case in general with IQ scores. And you can btw discount myself from the majority in your little statistic on black folk, and even in fact, by quite a margin from that general/white average of 100 as well.
Lastly, i don't really care whether girl's mixed, so am i, big whoop, the other posted Mensa members are not, some Mensa members are, etc. As far as goes whatever the puck your dogma implies about the African genome's capacity to produce those with capability, i doubt it.
I'm a math man and so doubt it on sheer numeric principle. Disregarding the fact that the human genome itself is African, how many times must we point out African immigrants outperforming whites both academically and professionally in Western countries especially in Europe. The scores don't lie and obviously it has nothing to do with some "affirmative action" as some are desperate to believe. Let's not even bring up recent studies showing African immigrants outscoring whites in general meaning a general rule.
