Thomas Sowell is a well educated man. I never read any of his books but I have read some of his articles online. He knows his economics. As far as his political views, I cannot endorse.

Contrary to what many think, he does adress the extreme right's disturbinly anti black bias.

LOL, black Americans have been a part of the investment community as long as America has had an investment community. Opinions to the contrary are but more worthless klan propaganda.

Sowell is not a serious economist at all. His writings, though copious, are very simple-minded and I would say a very, very, lightweight version of Milton Friedman. he is more of a right wing pamphleter than a serious economist. He is not as clownly and empty as Walter Williams but is an intellectual lightweight nevertheless.
