[/qb]
Monotheism always been a false concept used by Abrahamic religions practitioners (religious imperialists) to hide their own intolerance towards other people's Gods (among themselves in Israel/Rome then other people/nations ancestral Gods). 95% of the known world religions believe in the existence of one creator god. Ancestral religions as in contemporary Africa and Ancient Kemet, as well as the Ancient Greek, Rome, Aztec, Shinto, Aztec, etc always believed in one creator god who can have as many names as they are people on earth. Each people have their own path and knowledge of God through their ancestors. Other gods, deities and deified ancestors are more analogous in some way to prophets, angels and saints in Abrahamic religions. Obviously they are major differences too (since Abrahamic religions are conversion type of religions (very rare) not initiation type of religions (as most religions)). What characterize Abrahamic religions from that angle is their intolerance towards other people's religions. Most of the great civilizations of this world like the Rome Republic and Empire, the Ancient Greek civilization, Aztec, Ancient Kemet, Great Zimbabwe, Chinese, Celtic etc were built with ancestral religions as their main religious foundation. A case can be made that the imposition of Christianity in the Late Roman period by Constantine led to its downfall and the subsequent Middle Ages. Only the abandonment of Christianity by the use of science actually led Europe to the path toward development. In the Middle Ages you could get burned for saying earth was round or was not at the center of the universe. In Ancient Kemet, no matter what the name you give to him (Horus, Ra, Amun, Amun-Ra, etc) they always believed in one creator god, usually self-created, who created directly or indirectly the universe, earth, humans, other gods and deified ancestors, etc. [/qb]
@ this entire post... True....they believed in One Creator, with the other deities actually being attributes of the One, so to speak...(e.g., Amen is/being the hidden/unknowable aspect of the Creator) [/QB]
