At this point it has been over 50 years of lies and poor leadership. Since the 1970's they have pulled the trick of putting Black faces in high places, and in very few situations was that of some benefit to Black people (DC's infamous mayor was staunchly pro Black despite his shortcoming). Obama for many of us was the last straw. He was absolutely worthless to progressing any of the top issues facing Black America, and particularly the racial wealth gap. This "Black" president gave lectures about mass incarceration while acting powerless to do anything. He gave context to the distrust that Blacks have with the police, but again acted powerless to enact policies on the Federal level. One of the tropes that the "vote blue no matter who" dummies were saying is that "he is everybody's president not just Black peoples". This was the excuse to not do anything specifically for Black people. Meanwhile we see laws for lgbt and illegal immigrants coming every other year it seems despite one being a fraction of our population. In my opinion the Democrats have displayed a lack of caring for their primary voting block, and need to be taught a lesson in the next election cycle. We tried to get them this past election, but the "anybody but Trump" and "you must be a Trump supporter" bots were in full force on social media.
