Just want to announce the sad news that Dr Ann Cyphers, one of the world's foremost experts on the Ancient Olmecs and their culture, has passed away (20th May 2023). She, among other achievements, led excavations at San Lorenzo in Mexico. San Lorenzo Tenochtitlan is considered the capital of the Olmec civilization around 1200 BC and one of the oldest cities in Mesoamerica. She also found the seventeenth giant stone head. Added to that she was involved in the DNA testing of ancient Olmec remains, putting to rest all speculations that the ancient Olmecs were Africans.
