Can someone explain to me what cost of living is like in the area a buying food and eating out? I am planning to come to Egypt at the beginning of the year and stay for 1 -2 years to continue learning Arabic. And I am trying to do as much research on everything before I come. I am just wondering what I can expect to spend in a month time for a single male?

Hello,

Only my experience as a tourist:

Eating out was about 1/6 the cost for the same thing in the US. I'm not sure about buying food in a grocery store, a lot of things are apparently subsidized and therefore very cheap.
