Ausar, did you really write that stuff? I personally said that there are cases of child abuse and general abuse in the gulf that go unpunished. But I disagree strongly with the image you are trying to paint. Saudis (or any other nationality) are definitely not all perverts, they are not even perverted in the majority. I lived in Saudi Arabia, and believe me there is nothing like an organised slave trade or people showing particular fondness to Sudanese kids.
It's one thing to say stuff like that when you are fighting with someone, but to say it in such a scholarly fashion is just very dangerous.

No, not even close to a single digit percentage. Well known internationally??? As in how? As in Hollywood for example? Well a lot of things are "well known internationally" about certain ethnic groups and they turn out to be senseless **** . It was once "well known internationally" that blacks are mentally inferior to whites.
And what does that link prove exactly? It talks about a thousand child abuse cases over a period of a few years in a country of 5 mil. I don't know how that leads to a good 80 or 90%.

Mokoo, I don't know what you are trying to do. There is nothing in your post still that makes any difference to what I said. So you added a hadith by the prophet congratulating someone who had a baby girl by saying she's already so cute he would marry her if she grew old enough while he's still alive. That's a far cry from pre-Islamic Arabia where they buried baby girls alive.
Look, you have a very clear vendetta against Islam, again whatever your negative experience with religious conversion try to be a bit more tolerant to other people. Whatever religion you follow (even if you are atheist), I can show you "evidence" that your religion according to some people is perverted.

what the heck? 90 - 80 % of Saudis! From where the heck did u got ur statistics man/woman! I spend a part of my childhood in Saudi and it was amazing! I used to go to school walking and play in gardens near my house for 6 yrs of my childhood and never got harassed. If it ur statistics is right, I would had been harassed millions of time during this 6 yrs although I am not denying that there are negative things in Saudi that I donصt like.

I know many Saudis are black but that's really not to the point. The reason why so many black Saudis exist is because their ancestors were taken as slaves. Arabs have always enslaved other African people and despised Africans. Arabs during the Middle Ages even took Egyptian slaves whose revolt were broken down because of the taxiation.

Ausar, just because you heard something from an Egyptian doesn't make it a fact. We have ignorant asses here just like everywhere else.
Anyway *I* was the one who brought up this incident with the doctor first on ES. My point was not that Saudis are child molestors, my point was that Saudis don't punish criminals if the victim is foreign (more specifically Egyptian).
And don't just say stuff like: Saudis have a reputation of this and that. Every nationality has a bad reputation about something that is not really true.
Anyway if you want to know more about the gulf, get to know some gulf people personally. They are disappointingly normal!

Kimo,when did I ever say that lighter Egyptians are not Egyptians and that darker ones were totaly Egyptians. Many Egyptians in Upper Egypt have dark brown skin,and you would probabaly even deny this if you saw anybody from Luxor or Aswan. You know what I also know that in certain neighboorhoods in Cairo like Boulaq the Saidi Egyptians don't get along very much with the Fellahin from the Delta. Other Egyptians always tell me how sneaky those from the Delta are. Don't believe them but this is what I hear.
When I first came to this website I was shocked that people were aruging over the ethnicity of the ancient Egyptians. You had a poster here named pelas and egyptmed who was trying to proclaim all Egyptians as white people. Being that I am an Egyptian and not white I got pissed off. You never said anything to egyptmed. Why is this?

Interesting...first time I've heard of such a thing as a Black "supremacist"! I have heard of "angry" blacks because of the way they've been treated in the past and present, but a black who thinks he is superior to another race, is a new one on me.

Despite what grammatical mistakes I have,my points should be coherant those reading my post. Definatley not the best speller but you will understand my post. Ausar, I don't care who did what in 1654 (and whether or not they did it). As a matter of fact Arabs were probably the kindest people to Egyptians, we have always been occupied by ruthless people. But the Egyptian way is to think about today. For example the absolute, overwhelming, majority of Egyptians have no problem with Turks and Brits despite these people's violent occupation of Egypt. What we care about is how they are to us today. Once again Ausar, try to know people a little closer. No one in the gulf would even know what mawali means. As far as the comment about the streotype of Upper Egyptians being stupid. one of the finest intellectuals came from Minya named Taha Hussein. You must know him that he probabaly has made more impact upon Egypt than given credit.

When did I say I was not guilty. I admitted to posted the following thread on another message board. You apparently did not read my statement. I posted it because I don't like Gulf Arabs. Gulf Arabs are not very nice people to Egyptians,so I don't particularly like them. My motives were very clear,and I followed through with what I said.

What was false about what I said. Gulf Arabs are known across the Arab world as sodomites. Nothing is made up as an accusation. For the record,there is also a chatter on this particular message board who claims to be Arabic. I never made any execuses for my actions.

I have nothing against Delta Egyptians. They're fellow Egyptians. I just know what goes on and what my family members tell me about shaabi and balady neighboorhoods in Cairo. Saidi and Delta Egyptians sometimes have street fights. The streotype about us Upper Egyptians is we are stupid and have hot attitudes.

The population of Saudi is around 20 million, and assuming that half are men, it is safe to say a minimum of 8 million had most likely sodomised ausar and his father. And that is why his figures might just be accurate.

Belive it or not but the age of marriage in old times was very low. Does that mean that should be condoned now? No, but it means there is nothing wrong with people marrying when they were 14 in the middle ages, after all what was their age expectancy?
And believe it or not, but no religion bans slavery. Not Judaism and Christianity (two religions that actually encourage it). Not even eastern religions despite the fact that they are vogue now. And BTW those people practicing slavery in Sudan are ALL blacks. The masters are black and the slaves are black. In fact Islam shows very little tolerance for slavery, encouraging the freeing of slaves in every occasion, and stressing that race is not an issue. Which is more than could be said for Judaism and Christianity given the notorious passage in genesis about the projeny of Ham.
Anyway, why don't I hear any of you African Americans protesting slavery in hardcore black animist Africa. The practice of slavery in communities that are not even remotely Muslim is well documented, but you barely hear any protests against them. What? Are you ashamed that Blacks like you are practicing slavery? Well, you shouldn't because you have nothing in common with them except skin colour! And that's all I am saying, you shouldn't be ashamed of what people of your race do, just the same way as you shouldn't be proud that someone with a shade of skin pigmentation similar to yours "invented" peanut butter. Race is not something you choose, it should not confine you one way or another.
