I am in desperate need of a good hairdresser in Cairo. My past experiences have been very bad so haven't been near a salon for nearly 2 years now.
I badly need my hair cut and I used to be blond but now I'm half black/half blond. Are there any blondies out there who use a salon who can get blond right ? My last few attempts I ended up a lovely carrot orange.
Your replies are greatly appreciated.

Personally, I can recommend Heidi in Maadi. I am not blonde and don't have my hair dyed, but I have heard from others that she is very good with color too.

Thank you so much for the thread and recommendation of Heidi in Maadi. I think I will check her out. It is so hard because all the top name salons have varying comments.
I was going to a small salon in Mohandaseen who did a great job the first few times and then disaster struck on my 3rd visit ...... and it cost around 800le for a cut and color.

Tony in Ma'adi as well. He is a British male who a lot of expats in Heliopolis use (cos we know him and he is ace) I can ferret out his contact details for you if you like.
I have fine fine hair and it is dark blonde... NO Egyptian has ever cut my hair half decently... I am just lucky to be a regular commuter to the UK.

I had a similar experience; I used to go to a small Egyptian salon in Mohandesseen and they always did a great job. Then one day a different guy cut my hair and it was a disaster. Way too short, weird chunky layers and one side was shorter than the other. I never went back there.
In recent years, I only have my ends trimmed once every twelve months, so I rarely see a hairdresser, alhamdullilah.
