I normally use EMS to send parcels from Cairo. I have a package for family in the USA and EMS has just told me that USA customs no longer accept parcels from Egypt and that I will have to use FedEx which is extremely expensive.
Has anybody heard about this change and are there any reliable alternatives which don't cost an absolute fortune ?

There is also DHL but from our experience Fed-Ex is cheaper. There are not many options left at this point.
