well I've been there only once .. it is a very small city, few people, few cars, wide roads, a lot of peace I liked it but I dunno about the job oppertunities there but it has a harbour there and many industries on the free zone.

Port said is, in my opinion a very nice city... but really not a place for foreigners to find work... the only tourism there is people coming off cruise ships for a short time, just passing a few hours!!
Egyptians find it difficult to get work there!!!
It's at the north of Egypt, on the Suez canal... so a lot colder than the tourist resorts.... and ... yes..... IT RAINS IN WINTER!!! [Eek!]
Nice beaches for summer... but I imagine it would get very boring in winter!!!

I was just there for two weeks but I liked it. It is relatively a poor area - well, kinda like most parts of Cairo. It kinda looked to me like a war had passed by and no one had bothered to clean up the rubble. However, the people were very nice and kind.

Their market sells everything currently "made in China," which I thought was hilarious and I could not find one dance night club there! Not one.
