I am atttending a wedding this Friday and it will be my first in Egypt. It is for the older sister of one of my friends (I don't know her very well). This is the second marriage for both. Do I bring a gift? If people are bringing gifts what is appropriate? I was thinking about a nice picture frame but would LOVE any better ideas!

get them something for the house, siliver is very popular. or you can get the bride some jewellery, like a gold necklace or something.
as for your dress, well it depends how conservative these people are. just wear a normal evening gown, and take a shawl with you in case

good luck
