I think Cairo and most touristic cities in Egypt i.e. Hurgha.., Sharm, Dahab generally all touristic cities else Upper Egypt Cities can know it cause all the people who in hurgha., Sharm , Dahab ...etc most of them orginially from Cairo else upper Egypt cities.

not to offend anyone but to grossly stereotype...shubra is also a poor area of town. so if a smooth talking guy with an expensive mobile and stories about traveling the world, educated in private schools, he thinks like a westerner not like typical egyptian, he "understands" your culture, etc...strolls up to you in sharm and mentions his family is from cairo...then shubra in particular...warning bells!

For Sure any young child in Egypt would know if u Egyptian or forginer but the secrete word is how u know this sentense else u lived in Cairo for years and that mean u know well about Egypt and Egyptian even u are not Egyptian.
