just curious what some of you would do , and what some of you have already done.

Yes, I did a kind of "proper test". That time I asked my friend who studied in Al Azhar to check&re-check about him or better you ask some of his 'enemies' to tell you what their opinion about your bf Good luck.

What you should not do is stalk the person you are considering marrying, because that shows a lack of trust. Only if there is something really suspicous about them, should you have them checked out. You should be pretty sure that that is who you want to marry and not worry too much about trusting them. I would only have someone checked out if something about them bothered me. I think it belongs very much into the Egyptian culture and families screen each other well before allowing a couple to get engaged/married.
