I know some of you on here have a Dyson -

what do I do when Ive hoovered up a childs sock by mistake? can I take it apart and try and remove the sock, or do I have to buy a new Dyson [Eek!]

I have a Dyson upright.
No need for a new Dyson - did you suck it up from the bottom or up the cylinder?

Can you see it in the cylinder?

With a bit of care you can open them up quite a lot.

I have a Dyson too. Just twist all parts, everything opens [Big Grin] and remove the sock.
I regularly hoover up stuff like handkerchiefs, etc. It is really not a problem. Good luck. [Smile]

it sucked up from the bottom, and i cant see it in the cylinder.

i'll attempt to take it apart, it needs a good clean inside anyway

This is probably obvious, but do make sure its unplugged from the electrics when you start taking it apart!
(got my old H&S Rep hat on [Big Grin] )

We do hoover, but we don't dyson, (not yet anyway) [Smile]
