It is know that for the AE a common man had 1 ka(or double) but that a King or a god like RA had many up to 14 Kau which were given to him by Thoth.. I am not talking about the BA(soul)..
So if a scribe or apothecary(doctor,etc..) was elavated in his status by the King did he acquired more than one ka ?
If so were there special ceremonies done to that effect ?
A possibility is that it was awarded after one's death...
Any infos about this would be appreciated..

^ This is a first I've heard about this. By the way, where did it say Tehuti (Thoth) gave Ra any kas if Ra was superior to Tehuti?

You can find this passage in The Gods of the Egyptians. vol 1 ,page 34, re E.A Wallis Budge..
The passage cited by Budge,is referenced to Lepsius,Denkmaler, iii,Bl. 194 (note 2 on page 34) were "the 14 kau of Ra,were given to him by Thoth"... in the section -King UNAS as a God...

Interesting that even today many websites, and authors are still confused about the ba,ka etc..
As per Budge in his book of The Gods of the Egyptians vol1,pages 34 ff
You have:
1-a)ordinary man had 1 KA or double
b)a King or a God could have up many..
In one text[Dumichen,Tempelinschriften,vol i plate 29][Pyramid Text of Unas} RA had 7 BAU (souls) and 14 KAU(doubles).
People /Kings also had
2- a KHU(spirit)
3-a SAAHU(spiritual body)
4-a SEKHEM(power)
5-a)the Gods had a MEKET(words of power)
b)every Egyptian was trying to obtain the SEKHEM and the MEKET
6-specific importance as attached to certain internal organs by the Egytians such as the HESU(vertebra ?),BEQESU(liver),SMAU(entrails),HAATI(pericardium ?)
7- a SAA(knowledge)
