Here it is proposed Mars was frequently seen in earth's skies replete with an electromagnetic field. It was represented in the ram-headed form of Egypt's 'king of the gods' Amun.

I think astro-archaeology is a field that needs to be looked into much more by layman and expert alike after all much of the megalithic structures of the world are star aligned. But as far as I know the god Amun had nothing to do with Mars if anything he would be associated with Jupiter.
