Why do you ppl even care about the 'race' of Ancient Egyptians!!! That is racist! Race doesn't exist, you ignorants. Race is used to promote ethnic pride and social darwinism. That is why we must not talk about race!

"Race" is discussed in this forum only because the idea of race has been highly instrumental in shaping the contours of any discussion, scholarly or otherwise, of Ancient Egypt.

Take the example of the new King Tut travelling exhibition. Despite the fact that there are so many artifacts and pieces to view besides the Tut figurines and sculptures themselves, the organisers of the tour went out of their way to fabricate a new likeness of Tut which they promptly labeled "North Afican Caucasoid". Now, that's racism for you.

If race didn't permeate the subtext of Ancient Egypt the organisers would just have shown the pieces without any reference whatsoever to Tut's race.

So in order to properly resolve the issue of race and racism one must necessarily discuss "race".

Yes,but I wish people who discuss race would balance it out by also talking about ancient Egypt itself. There is much more to ancient Egypt than the topic of their ethnic origin. However, I do agree that western Egyptologist were the first to interject ''race'' into the discussion, and none of the established academics have healed the hurt from earlier scholars.

The reason why race is so important at this forum is beacuse the truth of Ancient Kemet has been hidden from the rest of the world for years. That the Egyptians were white. Everyone knows that shyt aint true.
