This thread is a long time coming. Especially after the events that have happened here recently. And to be honest I blame myself for being the "good cop." And so, now I have to bring down the hammer, and remind people what this site is about.
1. This is to the mods. The sections you mod are NOT repeat NOT your little kingdoms, where you can do whatever you want and anyone who has different opinions from you posts will be removed/edited. You've been picked mod to keep the specific section you are in charge of organized and free from trolling/spamming. Having differing opinions is not "trolling." Being a mod or admin is NOT about whether you like someone or not. Its not about whether someone is a Afrocentric, Eurocentric, Eurasioncentric or whatever. If you are too bias then being a mod is NOT for you.
2. Speaking of differing opinions... STOP calling people who have different opinions that maybe either "Afrocentric" or "Eurocentric" trolls. That's NOT how debating works. And anymore of that will have a post edited or worse.
3. I am not here all the time. I constantly get complaints about mods. However, when asked about a replacement, NO ONE EVER WANTS TO step up. Just complaining just to complain. If you are not going to step up then don't complain.
4. KEEP threads in their respective sections. A Deshret thread for example doesn't belong in the Egyptology section and vice versa.
5. Lastly.... AGAIN to address differing opinions. Egyptsearch is NEITHER an Afrocentric or Eurocentric website! If you think otherwise then you're on the wrong website. This site creation was never intended for one type of view. It was just based around Egyptology and Egyptian culture. Egyptsearch will have members that hold different views. Now if that makes you uncomfortable then, again this site is NOT FOR YOU! However..... Trolling/racism will not be accepted on the other hand.
Anyways, anymore complaints and I'm raining down hard.
