Psycho - thanks for the links - great stuff! John Martyn went through many phases and his voice did change a lot (drink and drugs, I believe). He is still around and making records. I plan to be cremated following a humanist ceremony and have half my ashes spread over the Grand Union Canal (Leicester branch) to the strains of John singing "Solid Air". The other half are being sprinkled on Rannochmoor (Scotland) accompanied by Nina Simone singing "Feelin' Good". Sums up what I am all about.
You also have great taste in music.
