I went with a gf to see it last night. I thought it was great and kept pretty true to the book. I had to leave the theater during the rape scene though. Too traumatic for me.

Have you read "A Thousand Splendid Suns"? I enjoyed that one even more the "The Kite Runner". I really hope they make that one into a movie, also.

Not read that one. I only read The Kite Runner by accident. I needed reading material when I first got here before all my books came. Someone lent me Kite Runner and I loved it, cried a few times. Had to give it back and it was lent out again but I will buy it, its deffinately worth a second read. Will get the next one soon as I can inshaAllah.
