This is funny, because I noticed this also Chimps.
Also sometimes it seems like they don't even chew their food, just inhale it!
I had to "retrain" my huband on this one. I would watch him shovel in the mashy and just swallow it whole!! I was like....will you SLOW DOWN and stop to chew! lol

I noticed mine eats faster if he is eating with friends, suppose its so he gets some food before they all devour it! During Ramadan we did a meal for 15 people, ok hubby cooked it all, he was in the kitchen ALL day, they all arrived, food was put out (on the floor) and it was like watching piranha eating
He can eat loads too, he gets slower towards the end though but I dont know where he puts it all.
