Hubby is wicked sick with the flu these past few days and he said his sisters cooked him this soup...he said it's soup but stronger than soup and he called it "ans" or "abs"...something like that. I should have had him type it but anyhoo does anyone know what he's talking about? It made him feel really good when he was finally well enough to eat some.

Oh I hope he's all better soon.

That reminded me of everyone asking me if I ate soap. It took me a while to figure out they meant soup. LOL

It's 3ads (ads), lentil that is. Lentil soup is "shorbet ads". Soup in general is "shorba"

Here's a recipe for shorbet ads like we do it. But we use yellow/orange lentils.

But we don't like it grainy. Make it as soft in consistency as possible, and not too thick.
