Not all of use have frying thermometer for whatever reason(s). So how can we tell when oil is hot enough?
Here are a few tips that seem logical with regards to knowing when oil is at 350f (ideal for deep frying).
#1 Put a kernel of popcorn inside, once it pops oil is hot enough.
#2 Put a few drops of water inside the oil (while oil is still cold) once water starts to sizzle and evaporates it is hot enough.
