IMAGINE a website totally dedicated to Africana. You can go there to LEARN about ALL THINGS African...

What would it look like? Can you describe it? Would it be forum-centric? would it be video-centric?

What would be the content/categories? What sort of "things" would you talk about?

If you had the luxury of specifying what will and won't go on the site, what would you specify?

Remember, this is a "utopian" site, it's not real ... so feel free to think outside the box.

Myra has already set up such a site. There is no need to develop a new one. People should just go this site and post topics.

A few years ago there were a couple of great Africana websites that we later swallowed up by AOL or some group...and called Black Voices (which is just more mainstream and hip-oriented...they deleted all of the articles and whatnot from the old site).

I said I'm going real soon. I did not define what "soon" means to me, it could be 6 days from now or 6 months from now [Big Grin] . I'm not going to let you know the date I'm going to hop on the Eurostar from London now, am I? I could be in paris right now [Wink]

Lmfao.

Can you provide a link to Myra's site please?

I'd like to see a site that has visibility on the level of say a YouTube or Facebook. But that's probably a pipe dream from the look of things.

The site I envision would attract people from all ages and all works of life.

^That's only a forum. There are already more than enough forums on Africana. I'm talking about something with a larger scope - something not so "specialist".

Myra's site is very comprehensive, usefil, and informative. I find it a convenient respurce for citations. It's probably the first such site I've come across, it's been up for some years now.
