History: The Ancient Kingdom Region of Sheba – Nubia

The Kingdoms of the ancient Empire of Sheba covers the African Continent, forming the collective 1000s of descendent Kingdom Nations of Africa today unbroken, as it has for millenniums before. The Empire Kingdoms of Sheba suffered far less from the great exodus than the Sheba ancient Crown home region itself, in its late history during the 26th – 30th Dynasty.

In accordance to ancient African Kingdoms recording of that era of history, the North Nubian regions suffered greatly the harsh climate changing combined with wars, and occupations, which lead to the exodus of complete lines forming new regions deeper within Libya, Sudan, Egypt and Chad. Some moved towards the North-Central of Sudan, and further into Egypt, and others further South into Chad, and South-East into Ethiopia.

The vast Empire ruled from Sheba expanded forming the 100s of Kingdoms yet today throughout Africa of the ancestral lines of Nubia.

It is as such strongly believed, based on the cultures of the present day Sahba lines of Libya that they are in-fact direct lines of the Libyan region of ancient Sheba, and amongst the oldest direct descendent lines of Nubia.

Within present day Sudan, Sheba can still be located within the original Region in the North of Sudan, and a great part of the original inhabitants.

In post-modern history, the lines within present day Egypt was greatly dispersed with the construction of the Aswan Dam, and some of ancient Sheba lines assimilated becoming and integral part of the Nubians of Wadi Halfa, Aswan and New Nubia in Egypt.

A great part of the Sudanese-Nubian population assimilated with the later Arabs that came into the regions and are now a mix of Nubian and Arab bloodlines, and primary language is Arabic.

A great part of the Southern-Sudanese Nubian Lines in 1700-1800s went further South, then into Chad and Buganda, some settled in Bombo Uganda on lands presented as a gift for their efforts with the Buganda kingdom during the war against the Bunyoro Kingdom. Others went further from there to Kiberia in East Africa Kenya within lands of the Nubian Royal King (South-Sudan Royal Lines) Kasambula, in present day Kenya. As well as the many Northern-and East Sudan Nubians lines that exodus again during 1700-1800s into the region of present day Chad, Ethiopia and Niger, forming the respective lines of those regions today.

Nubians; It must be reiterate the term Nubian in reference to these regions within the ancient lands is the reference ethnic and self-same Tribal name of the Nubian of the Nubian Civilisation original regions. The Tribes of Africa of there respective Tribal names are as well Nubian by ethnic Race of the respective Tribal Nations of the ancestral foreparents North-Nubians of Nubia descendents, that formed that respective Tribe.

The African Continents Kingdoms

At present there are over 350 Major African Empire Kingdoms and several thousands primary Royal Kingdoms thereof and Royal Chiefdom therefrom, of the Nubia-Kush Lines covering the African Continent, together forming the massive African Continents multiple ethnic populations. The Major Kingdoms are the largest and eldest in ancestral lineage, from which the Nubian Sheba Empire the Mother Empire of the Empires is the eldest. This ancient of ancient Lines Empire is born of the throne of Shebah I daughter and throne heiress of Nimrod/Narmer Kush Empire. The Empire was thereafter called the Empire of Sheba of the Empire Kingdom of Nubia the Mother Throne of Nimrod/Narmer through Father Kush/Hor-Aha, which comprised of the 5 family lines Empire Thrones of ancient. After a line of descendent Imperial Sovereigns Shebah Makeba II was born, and became even more renoun in religious history thereafter.

In the era towards the end of the 25th dynasty after attacks and internal conflicts a major part of the Empire coptic lines exodus deeper into the Empire inner African Empire regions for protection of the blood-lines against deadly attacks from outside. This critical moved expanded and formed the thousands of the Empire Kingdoms throughout Africa that has survived and multiplied since the dawn of time, surviving all the trial and tribulations that the Empire has faced. In time, to protect the Throne, during first the Aryan within the Empires Asian lines, thereafter Ottoman within the Empires African/Eastern Lines, and shortly following Roman invasions with Africa, the Empire created an internal protective adopted name that became knowingly/unknowingly a common reference within the lines of Kingdoms and Nations still today, that of Mother Africa.

The Mother of Africa, the Mother of the Kingdoms and Nations, the first civilisations and birth-root, Africa`s one primary and most critical social identity as a people, in unity with that of their ancestors of Nubia of the throne of Shebah I.

Today one Major Kingdom Line can comprise of several to several hundred Kingdoms over a population that is cross-border throughout Africa. The Kingdoms do not have National Borders but there pre-colonial and Pre-Nationalisation Kingdoms Borders, that criss-cross National Borders.

Imperial and Royal Kingdoms Geographical Root Origin

The greater concentration of the major Kingdoms are in the East and West African Regions, this is such due to the geographic of ancient Africa, Nubia or ancient Sudan covered all of West and East Africa as primary Imperial Empire Capital Kingdom with the Empires Primary Royal Kingdoms from within the Empire into Central and South Africa and beyond the shores of the African Continent.

The Kingdoms and Kingdoms Nations which were primarily Christian, some very early Islamic and the more common Nubian traditional religious orientation, relocated with the coming of aggressive religious changes from outside of the Empire further into the respective Empire Kingdoms Northern regions in to the South, and their Empires inner Africa Kingdoms territories, relocating the Major Kingdoms lines and reforming the Primary Kingdoms, sub-Kingdoms and Royal Chiefdoms of the geographic root Empire Kingdom of Nubia. Present day the Empire comprises of both Christian, Islamic that live in unison with the other, together with the ancient traditional religions.

African Imperial and Royal Kingdoms Centuries of Traditions History and Kingdoms Titles interpretations

The African Kingdoms and Imperial Empire is not very known in the West. This too is due to the tradition and desire of the African Kingdoms Sovereigns and reflects back to the late history of these ancient lines and of Africa over the past five centuries. Within the Empire Kingdoms the Imperial lines are referred to within the Royal Kingdoms Nations as the lines of the Ancients.

To better understand the deeper meaning of the African Throne titles we have attempted to elaborate on the deeper historical and traditional inner Kingdoms meaning of African Royal terminology in the following chapter under Terms and Meanings.

Imperial Empress/Emperor

The Imperial Empress/Emperor of the Imperial Kingdoms is the Most Supreme Imperial Title of an Empire Nation. Another reference name is translated to that of The Imperial King of Kings in modern history. The Kings and Queens are their Bloodline Monarchs within their Dynasty of multiple Kingdoms and Nations called, the Empire. In ancient Africa and within the Laws of the Imperial Bloodlines since the forming of the earths first Kingdom and their civilization nations is that of the, Goddesses Mother Empire.

The Goddess Lines - Matriarchs

The Goddesses Lines is the Lines that carry the Throne Heads or in other words the Lines that they were seen as the Sons and Daughters of The Gods – Ra/Ptah/Khnum and, The Matriarchal Goddess Line or Line of the Ancient Mother the Matriarchal direct Bloodlines of the Matriarchal Imperial Throne of Isis. The Goddess Mother or Imperial Empress. In later years referred to as Mother of Africa, and misinterpreted by most unknowing of how close it was to the reality of that title. Within their Empire there Law is Sacred. To the Nations the Matriarch is their most Supreme Authority that Exist, for it is the Lines of their Gods.

To sit on the Throne of the King- Pharaohs the Sovereign King of King/Queens of a bloodline related Imperial Prince sons of the Mother Goddess must unite or marry with the direct daughters of the Matriarchal Lines of the Supreme God and Father of the Gods, Ra and his Sister-God and Goddess Wife. The Imperial Mother The Matriarch Goddess-Mother, or Imperial Empress Goddess Mother. Creator Mother to the Nations and under, Her Law. The appointment to the Throne is by decreed of its Imperial Head. The Sovereign Imperial Mother, the Imperial Empress.

The Imperial King of Kings

The Imperial King of Kings or Pharaoh rules as co-Regent to the Gods and Goddess Mother and is the sign of Power of the Kingdom and the Nations First Ruler and King/Pharaoh.

Imperial Prince of The Empire

The Imperial Empress or Imperial Pharaoh/ Queen-Pharaoh is the Godly symbol of Power to the Nation, and Supreme Head and Goddess-Sister of The Kings/Pharaohs the Sons of the Gods. The Laws and Decreed of the Matriarch to the Empire is final. Those Laws, Utterance or Decreed their Imperial Father/King co-Regent protects implements and establish with the Empire in His Rule and the Foundation of the Throne of the King/Pharaoh son of Ra Ruler of the Empires of the Gods Universe of Heavens and co-Regent Supreme Husband and God- Brother of the Goddess Mother, Supreme Father of there Created Nations, The Crown of the Mother His Goddess Wife of The Unity of Ra, His Godly image.

As such it is said with African culture, the King is the Sign, but the Queen is its Symbol. The Imperial Lines Imperial Head are since times dawn Matriarchal. They are the image and likeness of the Ancient Mother and Line of The Throne. As such the Highest Status is that of The Imperial Empress, for through the Mother All of The Nations became to Life. The Imperial Lines of The Throne are seen as One with the Gods, they are in Unity they are, One. An African Imperial or Royal holds there status until there demise seen as a return to the spiritual realm of the Kings and Queens of Ancient.

How come the Imperial Empress Crown is so much like that of ancient Egypt?

 -

Egypt, Nubia and ancient Libya (pre-Byzantine) had the self-same ancient beliefs, reflected as well in the Crowns; there was never a difference, only each Dynasty made a few minor changes, this Dynasty has a Queen Cobra that is poised to strike. They all have a sacred meaning in particular the throne, and has been the Sheba Empire Throne Crown of our Empire since its dawn, in the time of our ancient lines of the Annu Temple of Anu, and thereafter until today, only used in sacred ceremonies or formal occasions in representation of the Imperial Empire Throne. Actually the pictures seen internationally are the first in 100s of years that was allowed to be publicized outside of the internal Kingdoms realms, and this due to the very special occasion of the African Union Celebration and 1st African Continent Kingdom Annual Summit in Libya.

How is throne succession, is one of the Imperial Empress Children the Future throne head?

That is an internal Empire decision by the Matriarch and Throne Elders and not strictly by natural ascension, the follower can as well be chosen from within the family lines, and is never before informed until after the throne has been formally ascended internal, it is then publicized or celebrated with and Out-door Ceremony introducing the new Throne Head from amongst the bloodlines throne heirs.

How many National Countries are there in Africa and African Union?

There are 53 Countries on the African Continent, 54 if one counts Sao Tomé and Principe separately. 32 of these Countries formed the OAU in 1962 on the Eve of post-colonisation, they were the first let us say freed Nations. Zimbabwe was the last, and freed in 1980 through its then young freedom fighter Robert Mugabe the present President. In 1999 there was a call from Libya to Unite all the African Nations, that was finalised in 2002. Thus forming the 53 African Continent Nations African Union.

How come so little is known about African Empires and Kingdoms?

Firstly there is a historical misunderstanding about Africans, the term African is new, the original terminology and ethnic name of the black races are Nubians, born of the very first civilisation. The name Africa is equally new. The Tribal Names are the names of the root fore-parents of that respective Branch or lineage.

The term Nubian-Nubians are the Nubians that were and still are, domicile within Nubia proper in North Africa, or the ethnic North African Nubians. The branches that migrated and settled forming the African Nations was later identified by there Tribal Family line branch names and no longer by the correct ethnic Race names.

There was very little interest for African Kingdoms and African Royalty; in addition most of the African Kingdoms in post-colonial history were still referred to in the derogatory as Village Chiefs of Chiefdoms and not correctly as Emperors/Kings/Queens of Royal lines millenniums old.

During the colonial era not much deep research was done as well due to the language barriers, the assumptions that were thus made, change the face of Africa’s history. Incorrect historical records from outside of Africa as well, has contributed to that error, our ancient Nubian Empire is well known but spoken of outside of Africa in the past tensed because it is understood as being in the context of the pre-colonial placed borders. All outside of those borders simple did not exist, our Blood lines connection with Egypt simply ignored. Reflection of that is within the International and African Curriculum that was as well non-Africa based, contributed to the little known about the African Continent Kingdoms and our Empires, blanket by passive disinterest from within Africa to change it, there was no need, the Kingdoms enjoys best there solitude from the outside world after the history of the past half a millennium.

In 2007 the Imperial Sovereign formally decreed that the reference of African Royal bloodline throne Kings and Queens as Chiefs was forthwith abolish, they were to be referred henceforth by there correct ancestral Royal throne titles of King or Queen, with exception and with full respect of those of non-Royal bloodlines elected or appointed as a district or regional Chief of a respective community.

Though some of the African Royal Kingdoms were heard of, less than a handful, it was during 2000 - 2008 with the changes brought in by the Imperial Sovereign for better recognition of the African Kingdoms and the Kingdoms IHF portfolio and the IHF President Crown Prince David D. Diomande international work, were more and more attention paid to the African Kingdoms in general, and steadily growing.

The African Kingdoms Foundations primary purpose is to work towards the goal of the eradication of Poverty on the African Continent, through Internal Development. Hand in hand with all Governmental and Non-Governmental African and International Organisations, that strives towards the self-same goal of eradication of poverty, and its trademark suffering of Humanity of Economically Poor Nations and States.

There is no freedom in dependency, only dependency. There is no democracy in dependency only its mockery. True freedom is in the development of ones inner self, and its concrete reflection in the development of ones environment in unity with the other, for the greater benefit of all. There is no freedom in dependency in any form, only in ones liberation from it, and the selfsame reflection secured and strengthen in the development of ones Environment, that Empowers the Nations with the Democratic Freedom to Choose. (Queen Shebah III)

so this is suggesting that the nubian polity was larger than now if the peopling of west and south africa came about. This sounds like modern sudan were they have over a million west africans ranging from hausa to non-hausa to fulani. I thought that was interesting because of the land distance. It is said that they still migrate to the sudan till this day. Ive met alot from the sudan who told me and i noticed them from the accent that they were akin to the west. This reminds me of when people say that the celts and the germans were one group before the split. ibn khaldun is right regarding nationality and race and ethnic groups are always morphing.

Sudan, I am reliably informed, loosely translates into 'the Land Of the Blacks' in Arabic.

The political entity known as ancient Saba/Soba has always been located in the ancient heartlands of the Black race, present day Sudan. And, Soba/Saba was the capital of the ancient kingdom of Aiwa/Alwa.

Arab chroniclers would be aware of this fact, as Arab/Turkish armies from subject Egypt suffered a major defeat at the hands of Africans led by the kingdoms of Makur/Makuri/Makuria and Alwa/Aiwa on the plains of Makur in 643 bce.

This served to check the Arab/Turkish advance into the African heartlands for almost 600 years until Makur fell to Arab hordes in the 14th century; followed by Aiwa/Alwa, in the beginning of the 16th century, 1504 to be precise.

The defeat of the Africans in 1504 on the plains of Alwa/Aiwa sparked major migrations of Africans into east, west, central and southern Africa. Arab chroniclers are aware of this fact.

Therefore, the article dealing with the gathering of African potentates and their recognition of Soba/Saba as a the core area of the ancient heartland of the Black race is valid.

Don't be so complacent in what you THINK you understand Yonis, it is no where near established that Sheba was in Yemen and apparently there's much to contradict it.

The Jewish Historian, Flavius Josephus described the queen of Sheba as the "queen of Egypt and Ethiopia" (Sudan).

Your effort also to place its location exclusively in Yemen based on linguistics is undermined by what Yom points out as a contemporary city in the real Ethiopia bearing the same name as the one in Yemen (Saba). Also given the fact that it is a local tradition in Ethiopia to claim this heritage and not in Yemen, I'm not sure that your speculation would pass the test of scrutiny to be asserted as fact.

They are lumping together various kingdoms and ethnicities as "Nubian" or part of the kingdom of Sheba as a sort of umbrella term for the original blacks who built the ancient kingdoms of Egypt and Sudan. While there are indeed connections between these areas and the rest of Africa, the idea that they were all unified as "Nubians" or part of something called the Kingdom of Sheba is patently false. In other words, it is a mainly ceremonial and symbolic way of identifying the connections between African cultures in these areas to cultures elsewhere in Africa.

An accurate rendition of Josephus's dsecription of the Queen of Sheba (Saba) would or might have read:

"Queen of Khem (ancient Egypt)and Kush (ancient Ethiopia)".

I am not in a position to verify that this female monarch, in question, ever reigned over the Two Lands - Khem and Kush. Nonetheless, if there was such a monarch, why would she reign over the Two Lands from what is now Southern Yemen?

Moreover, she is identified as Queen of Sheba (Saba) in both the Hebrew and Aramaic-Greek Scriptures. And, Saba is located in the ancient heartlands of the Black race - Khem and Kush. Therefore, the Habashan and Yemeni claims to this African queen has always been lost on me!

There's much confusion because the translated
texts mention a few places of different locales
with similar names that people who aren't so
careful further mix them up.

For instance, there are two "Sheba and Dedan."
One is b*nei Hham via Kush, while the other
one is b*nei Shem via Abraham and Q*turah's son Yaqshan.
Then there's another Sheba of b*nei Shem via one Yaqtan.

S*ba' is also from Kush and gets confused with
Sh*ba' (either the Kushi Sheba or the Yaqtani
or the Yaqshani Shebas.

Which Sheba did the famous queen reign over?
S*ba' of Kush?
Sh*ba' of Kush?
Sh*ba' of Yaqtan?
Sh*ba' of Yaqshan?
Where exactly are any of the four precisely located?

The subject of this thread is harmless cultural
mythology. Historically there was no Sheba at
the location shown on their map, the so-called
Libyan Desert.

There is no effort, it's a fact! The sabaeans were Yemeni, period.
I'm not saying that they were exactly as todays yemeni but there is no doubt about that this kingdom was located at what is today Yemen.
You can debate how they looked like, they be "black", "yellow", "green" or whatever. But there is no way you can question the location of the sabaen society.

And as for queen of sheba, there is no reference outside of the abrahamic religions of her ever existing in real life.
She seems to be a mythological figure.

The evidence is not put forth but the possibility is definately true. There are historical and present day examples. The sahelian kingdoms are a prime example with the various ethnicities that were pledged to a ruler of a different ethnicity, all under one polity or ruled as a loose confederation.
[qoute]While there are indeed connections between these areas and the rest of Africa[/quote]So,
how could these vast areas be so similiar without interaction and general uniformity. Just like the states. Each one is its own governing body but however owes it's allegiance to the head governing body. each one has its own style and unique character but however they share similiar characteristics and consistency with the others. Are there connections with great britain. of course and can be seen like the same connections that was seen by diodorus and herodotus between the inhabitants of ta-mery and the rest of aethiopia. How were the egyptian polity able to assemble armies that were outside of their mainland? without there being sone type of contract or allegiance or federation.
before the imazigheen were unified under islam as murabitun, some of them were under the malian polity paying tribute and supporting that state.
just like british colonists in america or nubian colonists in egypt, like what diodorus said, or even american colonists under the mexican polity who had to pledge allegiance to mexico by converting to catholicism and following mexican rules before they renegaded with other mexicans to form texas. bloods/crips cher/sony, I can go on
quote:
the idea that they were all unified as "Nubians" or part of something called the Kingdom of Sheba is patently false.
possibility in name but not the possiblity in the fact of unification under whatever name.

So called African empires and kingdoms, in truth were confederacies of nations with a common lineage who pledged allegiance to the dominant nation of the day. Just as occured between the Two Lands - ancient Khem and Kush.

Africa is a continent. people there are not homogenuos, there never existed anything called "African empire", " African kingdom" or " African state". No state has ever existed untill recently. we have ethnicities that are quite diverse at how they percieve the world.
No need to copy "empire" or "great kingdom" to feel worth of yourself. The Assyrians had an empire, the Greeks had an empire, the Persians had an empire, the Mongols had an empire.
Great for them.
But acting and creating empires out of shere comparison and flexing muscles is just pathetic and ridicoulas. you either have/had it or you don't.
Life goes on, who cares as long as you control yur time instead of thinking of what those who lived thousand of years ago did of their time. They lived their life and died now it's your time to live yours. They can't control yours and you can't control how they chosed to live.

What is known as the African continent today, from time immemorial has always been known as tha Land of the Blacks. All who are native to the continent, and we know who we are, identify with the Confederacy of the Black Collective and are therefore African heritage and culture.

Anyone residing on the continent today, whether they are newcomers or have been there for up to 1400 years who do not identify as Black are either descendants or offspring of invaders/occupiers who came to rule or ruin.

The cultures of the Asiatic and the European have caused nothing but distress for the African people. Why would I, a son of the soil, an African have any regard for such people.

The company of 'Africans' you may have dealt with to date leaves a lot to be desired.

Which effort of "placing its location exclusively in Yemen" are you talking about?
There is no effort, it's a fact! The sabaeans were Yemeni, period.
I'm not saying that they were exactly as todays yemeni but there is no doubt about that this kingdom was located at what is today Yemen.
You can debate how they looked like, they be "black", "yellow", "green" or whatever. But there is no way you can question the location of the sabaen society.

And as for queen of sheba, there is no reference outside of the abrahamic religions of her ever existing in real life.
She seems to be a mythological figure.

Blah. All of this was a useless straw man Yonis, you know better than that. I never at all concerned myself with the kingdom of Saba via Yemen, but the biblical Sheba (hence, distinction) to begin with. Realizing that would have probably saved you a few minutes of key board time. [Smile]

As far as the debate over the validity of this particular queen having existed, it's irrelevant to your fantastical claim that "if" the queen had existed, she'd have been "Yemini/Ethiopian" (what ever that is [Roll Eyes] ), as opposed to just Ethiopian like tradition suggests.

There is enough reamins and evidence to acknowledge the Sabaean kingdom in Yemen.
There is not much outside the abrahamic religions that can verify the existance of a queen of Sheba ruling southern Arabia/Ethiopia though.

Maybe you know more?

In other words, it is a mainly ceremonial and symbolic way of identifying the connections between African cultures in these areas to cultures elsewhere in Africa.

Isn't it a pan-African initiative that's going on there?

Maybe you're still grasping at straws. You cast doubt on the existence of Sheba via Ethiopia (a kingdom whose context is exclusively with the said queen), yet have enough gumption to associate the unsubstantiated and according to you, "mythical" region with an established kingdom such as "Saba", via Yemen, based on absolutely nothing but wishful thinking?

Also, I never mentioned "Ethiopia/Arabia" (again, whatever that is, as Saba was a kingdom in Yemen whose contemporary in Ethiopia was D'mt). There is no "Ethiopia/Arabia" relevant to this conversation on my part. Just Ethiopia.

This was contributed by Yom via wikiedia, so maybe you'd finally see the point and why yours is moot, and why basing your speculative claims on the phonetic similarity between "Sheba" and "Saba" is overly simplistic.

On Askum:

quote:
Origins

Aksum was previously thought to have been founded by Semitic-speaking Sabaeans who crossed the Red Sea from South Arabia (modern Yemen) on the basis of Conti Rossini's theories and prolific work on Ethiopian history, but most scholars now agree that it was an indigenous development.[4][5] Scholars like Stuart Munro-Hay point to the existence of an older D’mt or Da'amot kingdom, prior to any Sabaean migration ca. 4th or 5th c. BC, as well as to evidence of Sabaean immigrants having resided in the region for little more than a few decades.[6] Furthermore, Ge'ez, the ancient Semitic language of Eritrea and Ethiopia, is now known not to have derived from Sabaean, and there is evidence of a Semitic speaking presence in Ethiopia and Eritrea at least as early as 2000 BC.[7][8] Sabaean influence is now thought to have been minor, limited to a few localities, and disappearing after a few decades or a century, perhaps representing a trading or military colony in some sort of symbiosis or military alliance with the civilization of D`mt or some proto-Aksumite state.[9] Adding more to the confusion, there existed an Ethiopian city called Saba in the ancient period that does not seem to have been a Sabaean settlement.

In other words, you're just a conformist with no evidence whatsoever to support a Yemeni origin for the legendary figure in question, "if" she had existed. You merely take issue with the idea that she was African, hence your refusal and all out denial of Ethiopian and Abrahamic tradition among other things (ala Josephus, the Bible, Kebra Negast, lack of memory of her in Yemeni accounts, etc).. So I guess I DO know more than you, or at least acknowledge more, Mr. Yemen is responsible for all forms of civilization in coastal east Africa. [Roll Eyes] You are a very submissive Somali, do you know that??.

I came across a treatise by a andalousian scholar at the time of 1282a.d. in which he wrote a short essay on the table of nations. This was a science in the heydays of the muslims for the lineage of onesself or nation is something that was universally shared with minor exceptions. He gathered all of his information , however, from oral traditions of the land and historical documentation and a dab of cultural anthropology , contrast that of the anthro-archaeo based science searching historical descent of nowadays were if one says he is roman and his dna is e3b then he falls victim to another C.S.I show and is seen as false as if he is put on a paternity test run.

quote from ibn s'ad
quote:
Chapter 1: The Seven Original Nations

This is Kitab Tabaqat al 'Umam written by Sa'id, Mercy be upon him.

The Qadi Abu al-Qasim Sa'id ibn Ahmad ibn Sa'id wrote: it is known that all the people on earth from the East and from the West, from the North and from the South, although they constitute a single group, differ in three distinct traits: behaviors, physical appearances, and languages.

quote:
The first nation was al-Furs [the Persians], who inhabited the center of the populated world. Their territory bordered on the mountains in northern Iraq, reaching 'Aqabat Hulwan [Gulf of Zagros], which includes Mahat, Karaj [EI, IV, 1056], Dinur, Hamadan, Qumm [EI, V, 369], Qashan, and others. These borders extended to the countries of Armenia, al-Bab wa al-Abwab [Darband, EI, 1, 189], which is situated on the sea of Khazar [EI, IV, 1172], and to Azerbaijan, Tabaristan, Muqan, Baylaqan, Ran, Shabaran, Talaqan, and Jurjan, and to the land of Khorasan [EI, V, 55], such as Nishapur, Murwan, Sarkhas, Hirat, Khawarizm, Balakh, Bukhara, Samarkand, Farghana, and Shash, and other cities in the land of Khorasan, Sigistan, Kirman [EI, V, 147], Faris, Ahwaz, Isbahan [Isfahan or Ispahan], and other neighboring countries. They had one kingdom, one king, and one language--Farsi [Persian]. Although they spoke slightly different dialects, they were in agreement on the shapes and the number of the letters in their alphabet, and their differences did not affect the various aspects of those languages, such as the Pahlavi and the Dari as well as other languages of the Furs.

The second nation was the Kildaniyuns [Chaldeans]; they are the Sirianiyuns and the Babylonians; those peoples were comprised of the Kan'aniyuns [Canaanites], the Assyrians, the Armenians, and the Jaramiqah [Mas'udi 1966-1970:118-121], who inhabited Mussil [Mosul], and the Nabatiyuns, who inhabited most of Iraq. Their country was also in the center of the populated world and included Iraq, al-Jazirat [the island] located between the Tigris and the Euphrates [rivers] and known as Diar Raby'ah, Mudar, al-Sham, and the Arabian Peninsula, which included Hijaz, Najd, Tahamah, Ghfir, and Yemen. All of these are located between Zabid, Sand', 'Aden, 'Urud, Shahr, Hadramut, Oman, and other parts of the Arabian countries. All this was one kingdom having one king and one language, Syryani [Syriac]. This is the ancient language spoken by Adam, Idris, Noah, Ibrahim, Lot, and others. Later on, Syriac branched out into Arabic and Hebrew. The Hebrews, also known as Banu Israel, conquered al-Sham and inhabited it. The Arabs took over Jazirat al 'Arab [the Arabian Peninsula], which is also known as the land of Raby'ah and Mudar, and inhabited all of it. The rest of the Sirianiyuns had retreated into Iraq, where the capital of their kingdom was Kalwaza [Kalwadha, Mas'udi 1966-1970:70, 602].

The third nation was comprised of the Greeks, the Romans, the Ifranjah [Franks], the Jalaliqah [Austrians], the Burjans, the Slavonians, the Russians, the Burghuz, and the Llan as well as other nations living around the Sea of Neitosh [a corruption of Puntus, Black Sea], the Lake of Maytus [probably the Sea of Azov], and other areas in the Northwest quadrant' of the populated earth. They had one kingdom and spoke the same language.

The fourth nation was the Copts; they are the people of Egypt and the people of the South. They are the Sudanese [black people] from Abyssinia, Nubia, the Zinj [black people, most of central Africa], and others. Also the people of the Maghrib [the West] and they are the Berbers and their neighbors to the west bordering on the Sea of Uqiyanus [Atlantic Ocean]. They spoke the same language and had one kingdom.

The fifth nation was the races of Turks, which include the Karluks, the Kimaks, the Taghuzghuz, the Khazars, the Sarirs, the Jilans [EI, II, 111], the Khuzans, the Tilsans, the Kazakhs, and the Burtas [EI, I, 1337]. They spoke one language and had one kingdom.

The sixth nation was India and Sind and neighboring peoples. They had one language and one king.

The seventh nation was China and the neighboring country of 'Amur [between Manchuria and Russia], named after 'Amur, the son of Yafith, son of Noah. Their kingdom was one and their language was one.

These seven nations comprised the entire human race, and they were all sa'bat [Sabians], worshiping idols representing celestial objects, including the seven planets and others. Later on, these seven nations were dispersed, their languages branched out, and their religions became different.

funny how the contemporaries rely on physical evidence as a base rather than the spoken word that which distinguishes the human from the animal who lives it's life on physical evidence.
