Some DNA Evidence Which Might Be Helpful (Iran/Cyrus/Darius)

[A] From the quote below we read, “Iranians sampled here (from the western part of the country) appear to be more similar genetically to Afro-Asiatic-speaking Middle Eastern populations than they are to Central Asians or Indians.” This supports two web pages showing Iranians in pre and early history of being African phenotype, being from Africa. The quote is in [ B] from another web site and the web pages are [C] and [D]. Interestingly in page [C] below is that Cyrus in picture (1) and Darius in picture (5), contrary to their portrayal in popular literature, have African phenotype.

[B] "Intriguingly, the population of present-day Iran, speaking a major Indo-European language (Farsi), appears to have had little genetic influence from the M17-carrying Indo-Iranians. It is possible that the pre-Indo-European population of Iran— effectively an eastern extension of the great civilizations of Mesopotamia—may have reached sufficient population densities to have swamped any genetic contribution from a small number of immigrating Indo-Iranians. If so, this may have been a case of language replacement through the ``elite-dominance'' model. Alternatively, an Indo-Iranian language may have been the lingua franca of the steppe nomads and the surrounding settled populations, facilitating communication between the two. Over time, this language could have become the predominant language in Persia, reinforced and standardized by rulers such as Cyrus the Great and Darius in the mid-first millennium B.C. Whichever model is correct, the Iranians sampled here (from the western part of the country) appear to be more similar genetically to Afro-Asiatic-speaking Middle Eastern populations than they are to Central Asians or Indians."

***Not very surprising. The Farsi spoken in Iran for some time is not the same as Old Persian, which only scholars know. Modern Farsi is about 50% Arabic. It's not difficult to understand why.

Actually, the Arabic world closest to Africa has interesting populations. In my view, for instance, quite a few in the Saudi Arabian ruling family with their wide noses and wooly hair sure look as if they ancestors hailed from Africa - or, more likely, are part of what could be called "Greater Africa"; Africa before the migrations to that part of the world from the Steppes that changed the population and genetic makeup mostly after 300 BC or so.

Thusly they may be After all related to their Elamite predicessors though, come to think of it Elamites are supposed to have been indigenous black SW Asians whom the incredibly light Persians replaced.

WAIT. Come to think of it this is not surprising since I already know the entire "Middle East" light as it may be in some areas underwent significant African influence during the African colonization of it in the Holocene I think (I'll look it up).
