Rich Angolans Buying up Portugal
We now live in a world where the former colonial powers and self proclaimed masters of the world are looking to their former possession for help, those of you following the news know the kind of trouble the Europeans are in,seems to me we are heading back to the golden era of African/Asian trade with China reasserting it self
as global power,I have often read the comments of Euro/Americans of fear from such a relationship where they have soo much concern for those poor Africans, but if we used history as our guide do Africans really have anything to fear??..not saying African nations should not exercise caution when dealing with others but fear?? But I digress as Africans break free of Euro/American economic domination.they really ought to look invest in each other economies and build a strong middle class, as well as diversifying their economies and not relying on oil wealth alone.

Gilgamesh tomb believed found
Archaeologists in Iraq believe they may have found the lost tomb of King Gilgamesh - the subject of the oldest "book" in history.

Gilgamesh was believed to be two-thirds god, one-third human
The Epic Of Gilgamesh - written by a Middle Eastern scholar 2,500 years before the birth of Christ - commemorated the life of the ruler of the city of Uruk, from which Iraq gets its name.

Now, a German-led expedition has discovered what is thought to be the entire city of Uruk - including, where the Euphrates once flowed, the last resting place of its famous King.

"I don't want to say definitely it was the grave of King Gilgamesh, but it looks very similar to that described in the epic," Jorg Fassbinder, of the Bavarian department of Historical Monuments in Munich, told the BBC World Service's Science in Action programme.

Magnetic

In the book - actually a set of inscribed clay tablets - Gilgamesh was described as having been buried under the Euphrates, in a tomb apparently constructed when the waters of the ancient river parted following his death.

"We found just outside the city an area in the middle of the former Euphrates river¿ the remains of such a building which could be interpreted as a burial," Mr Fassbinder said.

Who can compare with him in kingliness? Who can say, like Gilgamesh, I am king?
The Epic Of Gilgamesh
He said the amazing discovery of the ancient city under the Iraqi desert had been made possible by modern technology.

"By differences in magnetisation in the soil, you can look into the ground," Mr Fassbinder added.

"The difference between mudbricks and sediments in the Euphrates river gives a very detailed structure."

This creates a magnetogram, which is then digitally mapped, effectively giving a town plan of Uruk.

'Venice in the desert'

"The most surprising thing was that we found structures already described by Gilgamesh," Mr Fassbinder stated.

Iraq has long been the site of some of the most important historical finds
"We covered more than 100 hectares. We have found garden structures and field structures as described in the epic, and we found Babylonian houses."

But he said the most astonishing find was an incredibly sophisticated system of canals.

"Very clearly, we can see in the canals some structures showing that flooding destroyed some houses, which means it was a highly developed system.

"[It was] like Venice in the desert."

Sorry old news [Embarrassed]

I think the Egyptian Pharaohs and Nubian Pharaohs traveled to the great lake region, to Nigeria area,to the Mali area, Chad are, Kenya and Kongo for religious, diplomatic, business and hunting reason.

If you go to noble Dynasty.com you will see the current King of Kongo King Makoko Auguste Nguempo. He is the King of Anzitu, Teke, Tio.

The Kongo Empire territory according to Dynasty include Chad, Cameroun, RCA, Gabon, Congo Brazzavile, Congo Kinshasa, Angola.

I dont think African people told foreigner their real history.

Scientists have found a rare, 600-year-old Chinese coin on the Kenyan island of Manda that rewrites the history books on international trading.
Researchers say the copper coin, which has a square hole in the center so it could be worn on a belt, proves trade existed between China and eastern Africa decades before European explorers set sail.
Scientists say it was issued by Emperor Yongle of China who reigned from 1403-1425 during the Ming Dynasty, and his name is written on the coin.

Chinese white and blue porcelain plates were also found in the coast of Kenya in the past. The Swahili states and the Empire of Monomotapa traded with India and China from the middle age until the European colonial period. The Chinese have a 15 cent CE map of Southern Africa that show the river and mountain inside Africa.

Indian Imitations of Aksumite Coins
The sudden appearance and disappearance of Aksumite coins in the Indian
Ocean region in the late third century remains an enigmatic clue to a dynamic
phase of international trade and diplomacy. This study will explore how the
Aksumite kingdom of Ethiopia used imitation of Byzantine coins as part of its
strategy to usurp the role of the eastern Roman Empire in long-distance trade
with the East.

The large, sea-going vessels of the Swahili Coast used to be so-called ‘stitched’ or ‘sewn’
ships, like in many regions of the Indian Ocean. Their hull was made out of planks that were
sewn together with coconut coir. One type of ship was called a mtepe (in Swahili meaning ‘sailboat’).
It is now extinct and little evidence of its existence remains

The casting of the actor chosen to portray Satan in The History Channel's "The Bible" mini-series has sparked debate on social media sites over the weekend, after some suggested the man had a likeness to President Barack Obama. However, both The History Channel as well as "The Bible" mini-series producers, Mark Burnett and Roma Downey, have called the suggestions "utter nonsense."

I Saw the TV serie Bible I didnt realise the actor playing the role of Satan look like President Barack Obama. Producer Mark Burnet should have look for an actor that look like one of the international banker to play that character.

I notice the black robe of Satan and is long finger.I remember esoteric teacher Jordan Maxwell talking about the black robe in its video.Jordan Maxwell stated what is it with that black robe, the Priest wear balck suit, the Rabby wear black suit, the Judge wear black robe, College graduate wear black robe, Police wear black uniform, Swat team wear uniform, Darth Vader of Star Wars wear a black robe etc.Maxwell stated the black robe and clothes are the symbol of the Priesthood of Saturn.Saturn is the God of education, law, order and DEATH.Saturn is called the lord of the ring because the planet Saturn have a ring. The Canaanite/Phoenician women wear earrings because of the God Saturn.when Canaanite married they gived eachother a ring because of Saturn.Another name for Saturn is the God El of the bible. The city of Rome was called Saturnalia, the Roman had a Saturnalian festival in December like Christmas.

The name of planet Saturn come from the Egyptian God Set that become God Satan of the bible and God Saturn of the Roman. The name Palestine aka Peleset mean land of the worshiper of Set.The worshiper of Set paint their hair red to celebrate the Sun Set.

Our thick-browed, extinct friends known as the Neanderthals have been all over the news lately. The latest find? Scientists at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig, Germany, have sequenced and published a high-quality Neanderthal genome taken from a toe bone found in a Siberian cave, reports The Associated Press. In celebration of the breakthrough, here are five fascinating things about Neanderthals that you may not have known:

1. They kept sex all in the family

Symbols of Power: Adinkras and the Nature of Reality
This article first appeared in Physics World, June 2010.

Physicists have long sought to describe the universe in terms of equations. Now, James Gates explains how research on a class of geometric symbols known as adinkras could lead to fresh insights into the theory of supersymmetry — and perhaps even the very nature of reality.

In the land of theoretical physics, equations have always been king. Indeed, it would probably be fair to caricature theoretical physicists as members of a company called "Equations-R-Us", since we tend to view new equations as markers of progress. The modern era of equation prediction began with Maxwell in 1861, continued through the development of Einstein's equations of general relativity in 1916 and reached its first peak in the 1920s with the Schrödinger and Dirac equations. Then a second, postwar surge saw the development of equations describing the strong force and the electroweak force, culminating in the creation of the Standard Model of particle physics in about 1973. The equations trend continues today, with the ongoing struggle to create comprehensive equations to describe superstring theory. This effort — which aims to incorporate the force of gravity into physical models in a way that the Standard Model does not — marks the extant boundary of a long tradition.

n 2012, under threat from fundamentalist rebels, a team of archivists, librarians, and couriers evacuated an irreplaceable trove of manuscripts from Timbuktu at great personal risk. The manuscripts have been saved from immediate destruction, but the danger is not over. A massive archival effort is needed to protect this immense global heritage from loss.

 -

Abdel Kader Haidara has been steward of his family's library since age 17

Though removed from immediate threat, the manuscripts are still jam packed in footlockers used for their evacuation and the current environment of this precious world heritage is significantly more humid than Timbuktu. There are already signs of damage and exposure to moisture.

The purpose of this campaign is to fund the preservation effort required to store the manuscripts in an archival, moisture-resistant manner during their exile from Timbuktu. If physical harm from the current packing situation continues and if mold and mildew spread in the corpus due to increased humidity, the damage will be devastating.

Timbuktu is a traditional center of peace, learning, and scholarship

By contributing, you are directly funding the archival materials and labor required to save these works. In recognition of your support, we can ensure that your name or a personal dedication will be associated with these works in perpetuity, and we will provide you with a token of your contribution to keep as an enduring memento.

This is a legacy that will continue to enrich our world, with the potential to advance the causes of peace and good governance in Africa and the world for generations.

About the Libraries in Exile Project

Libraries in Exile is sponsored by T160K, an international initiative forged in the evacuation of these treasures from Timbuktu and dedicated to protecting and preserving them until they can be returned to their home. It is the center of a growing global family who have pledged to this urgent effort.

Funds contributed to this project will be used to purchase moisture traps, archival boxes, and the additional footlockers required to safely store these manuscripts, as well as to cover the significant labor effort required to unbox and re-pack the manuscripts for preservation.

Ethiopian leader accuses international court of racial bias
ADDIS ABABA (Reuters) - Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn, the current chairman of the African Union, on Monday accused the International Criminal Court of racial bias and targetting Africans for prosecution,
The Hague-based court was set up to bring the perpetrators of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity to justice - a mission that Hailemariam said it has lost sight of.
"The intention was to avoid any kind of impunity but now the process has degenerated into some kind of race-hunting," Hailemariam told reporters at the end of African Union summit in Addis Ababa.

I agree with Ethiopian Prime minister Hailemariamen Desaleign that the ICC is racist and only targeting Africans for prosecution.Western countries invaded and bombarded Middle eastern countries and North African countries were innocent civilians died and soldiers tortured and woman rapes.Illegal weapons like duplated uranium and white phosphorous was used by Western armies in the Middle East. There wasnt any investigation of Western countries by the ICC.

I have no problem and support the ICC prosecuting Africans involved in the Rwanda genocide, Darfur genocide and Sierra Leone genocide.I think the ICC is being to extreme when they are prosecuting and want to prosecute politician involved in ethnic warfare like Ivorian Pres Laurent Gbagbo and Kenyan Pres Uhuru Kenyata.A national judicial court or national reconciliation court like South Africa should deal with those case.

The Proxy countries Chief of States of Saudi Arabia and Qatar that are financing crazy terrorist rebels in the Arab world that killed civilians, lynched black people, executed chief of state live on TV and totured civilian are never indicted and prosecuted by the ICC.

The ICC look like a tool of Western foreign policy. The ICC look like a colonial court.Non Aligned countries should create their own international court of Justice.

I care about the Timbuctu middle age history books. If I was rich I would have create a multi $ million history foundation in Africa to save the Timbuctu ancient books.

Bantus with Blue Eyes

In the Bantu, black and brown eyes occurred in all our
cases. Blue or intermediately coloured eyes do, in fact,
occur but are extremely rare.

The tale of Bida the Black Snake

 -
This is another tale from ancient Ghana or Ouagadougou some time spelled Wagadgu this may have an allusion to a drought that helped ushered in the final collapse of the Empire, they had been fighting off the Almoravids who were carving out an empire that stretched from the Senegal river to Iberia although that venture failed they non the least had to deal with a sever drought now understand these were not a people of the book and although they traded with Muslims the Kings had very little interest in their religion although some of it's people were already Muslims, the combination of war and drought drew the attention of the Malian up start who succeeded where the Almorivids failed. It is known that like other non people of the book they had human sacrifice as a matter of fact it would be reminiscent of story of Perseus vs the Kraken or the Hydra whose king sacrificed beautiful young virgins to ward off his wrath or even the story of king Kong same basic theme.

The Soninke(Mande people) story of the hero Maadi slaying the black serpent Wagadu Bida to stop his girlfriend Siya Yatabare from being sacrifice to the serpent is similar to the Greek story of the Hero Perseus slaying the Kraken (monster) to keep his future wife Andromeda from being sacrifice to the monster. Its look like the Greek myth come from Africa.

The Haussa have a story of a hero slaying a serpent man who was keeping the Haussa people from using water from the well.

Wagadu Bida the serpent with 7 heads and the serpent man of the Haussa are maybe refering to a stellar priesthood who have been replace with a solar priesthood.

^ There seems to be a connection if not common theme. In the Greek story of Perseus, his future wife Andromeda was princess of 'Ethiopia' and because her mother insulted a sea goddess the punishment was that their coastal city was to be flooded by sea water and harassed by a sea monster (ketus in the original Greek). They consulted the Egyptian oracle of Amun which told them the only way to placate the gods was to sacrifice their only child to the monster.

The other two African legends you mentioned (Soninke and Hausa) also have similar themes of a kingdom or people punished by divine or supernatural forces in the form of a monster or demon. Instead of excess of water, lack of water or drought was the problem and then a large guardian like serpent. I understand versions of the Hausa story even give the serpent 7 heads as well. The common interpretation I get from most scholars as well as studies of similar legends is that these tales of heroes destroying serpents (or other monsters) symbolize the conquest and/or eradication of an older order or religion. The conquering hero or founding king in these two African cases and those in many parts of the Sahel is Muslim while the serpent creature was the totem of a tutelary deity or even the deity itself. Also the heroines saved both in Greek legend as well as these African legends were queens and ancestral founders of future kingdoms. Some speculate that these women may have some direct connection to the demonized creatures perhaps as priestesses, but then were made to be victims of the old order to be rescued by their men who represent the new order or religion. Note that in Africa there is prevalent tradition of oracles associated with sacred springs or wells where large serpents dwell. The serpent is still used by voodoo priestesses in many rituals.

In the Somali children's story The Ogress and the Snake, a large serpent living in a water hole deters a family of abandoned sisters from drawing water. Rather than take the long walk to the river, the youngest decides to take her chances with the well and promptly gets attacked by the snake. Her sisters rescue her and in the commotion, gold is revealed at the bottom of the water hole. The next day, the eldest sister uses meat as bait to draw the snake from the well, and decapitates it.

'The she jumped down into the water and began to pick up the gold. There was so much that she couldn't carry it all.

"Come and help me!" she called to the others. "We're rich! We're rich! We'll never be hungry again!"'

Who The Heck Are The Piso Family.

This got my interest and although I claimed to know alot of stuff I had never came across the name of this family and their supposed involvement with the creation of Christianity, after poking around on the net I came upon this site www.fargonasphere.com/piso/

The True Authorship of the New Testament

“Let’s see, a story that starts with fishing for men and has a human Passover lamb and a crucifixion scene where one survives out of three and concludes with the condemning of Simon and the sparing of John. Gee, what story could that be?”
- Joseph Atwill on the 'Judean War' by Flavius Josephus

Professor Bruno Bauer, in his work of 1877 "Christ and the Caesars", stated that he had concluded that the Romans had authored the New Testament and that Flavius Josephus was the inventor of Jesus.

James Ballantyne Hannay next wrote about the Roman authorship of the New Testament in his 1925 work "The Rise, Decline & Fall of the Roman Religion (Christianity)."

The important question is who finance the devil terrorist organisations of book haram in Nigeria and al shabbab in Somalia. Bigfoot is real, and now at least one scientist claims there is proof.
A group of Sasquatch researchers who have been collecting over 100 pieces of evidence over the past five years screened "never before seen HD video" of the alleged creature at a news conference in Dallas on Tuesday.
The footage, which came from a similar effort dubbed The Erickson Project, led by Adrian Erickson, showed what the group said was a sasquatch moving through wooded areas in Kentucky.
