Doug if I'm not mistaken is a U.S. tax payer
Nevertheless he is a good critic of problems with economic systems
But does he have any solutions or can point of pre-existing models that were or are better?
lamin has similar criticisms but also suggets some solutions such he thinks some of the scandinavian socialist systems are a relatively better way and Nkrumah's Ghana was one of the better African governments of the past
mena and Ironedlion on the other hand are monarchists

Criticizing is OK but you have to propose a solution.
The reason I love monarchy is because Ancient Egypt and all the ancient black civilisation were maonarchy. It doesnt matter if the political system is a monarchy or a republic as long the system is control by a group of smart elite. The elite control maybe visible or invisible like in western country.
Some of the Western country democracy are realy disguise plutocracy, aristocracy, corporatocracy oligarchy and plutocracy were the elite rule through their secret society and manipulate the masses with their corporate media and entertainment.
I think the best economic system is a mixture of capitalism and socialism like in Scandinavia and China.

a lot of that is just modern words for things that go on in monarchies
-also the smartest people are not always ethical people. A smart person might feel they are superior to other people and then act greedy
