Movie Black Panther

Centuries ago, five African tribes warred over a meteorite containing vibranium. A warrior ingested a "heart-shaped herb" that was affected by the metal and gained superhuman abilities. He became the first "Black Panther", and united all tribes (except the Jabari Tribe who declined) to form the nation of Wakanda. Over time, the Wakandans used the vibranium to develop advanced technology and isolated themselves from the world by posing as a Third World country.

In 1992, King T'Chaka travels to Oakland, California, to visit his undercover brother, N'Jobu. Black market arms dealer Ulysses Klaue had infiltrated Wakanda and stolen vibranium, and T'Chaka accuses N'Jobu of assisting him. N'Jobu's friend reveals himself to be Zuri, another undercover Wakandan, who confirms T'Chaka's suspicions.

In the present day, following T'Chaka's death at the hands of Helmut Zemo,[N 1] his son T'Challa returns to Wakanda to assume the throne. He and Okoye, the leader of the Dora Milaje regiment, extract his ex-lover Nakia from an undercover assignment so she can attend his coronation ceremony, along with his mother Ramonda and younger sister Shuri. At the ceremony, the Jabari Tribe's leader M'Baku challenges T'Challa for the crown in ritual combat. T'Challa defeats M'Baku and convinces him to surrender rather than die.

Klaue and Erik Stevens steal a Wakandan artifact from a museum. T'Challa learns that Klaue plans to sell the artifact in an underground casino in Busan, South Korea. W'Kabi, T'Challa's friend and Okoye's lover, urges him to either kill Klaue or return with him. T'Challa, Okoye, and Nakia travel to the casino where T'Challa learns CIA agent Everett K. Ross is the intended buyer. A firefight breaks out, Klaue escapes, and Okoye, Nakia and Ross pursue. With Shuri's help, T'Challa captures Klaue.

While Ross interrogates Klaue, Klaue reveals that Wakanda's international image is just a front for a technologically advanced civilization. They are ambushed by Erik, who extracts Klaue; Ross is severely injured intercepting a bullet for Nakia. T'Challa notices Erik is wearing a ring identical to his own. T'Challa decides to take Ross to Wakanda, where their technology can save him, rather than pursue Klaue.

While Shuri heals Ross, T'Challa confronts Zuri about what happened to N'Jobu. Zuri explains that N'Jobu planned to share Wakanda's technology with people of African descent around the world to help them conquer their oppressors. As T'Chaka arrested N'Jobu, N'Jobu attacked Zuri, forcing T'Chaka to kill him. They left behind N'Jobu's son, Erik, as returning with him would complicate their lie that N'Jobu had disappeared. Erik would eventually grow into a U.S. black ops soldier, earning the name "Killmonger".

Killmonger kills Klaue, then takes his body to Wakanda. He is brought before the tribal elders, revealing his identity and claim to the throne. He challenges T'Challa to ritual combat; after killing Zuri, he defeats T'Challa and hurls him over a waterfall. Nakia extracts one of the heart-shaped herbs before Killmonger orders the rest incinerated. Killmonger, supported by W'Kabi and his army, prepares to distribute shipments of Wakandan weapons to operatives around the world. Nakia, Shuri, Ramonda and Ross flee to the Jabari Tribe for aid, where they find a comatose T'Challa, rescued by the Jabari in repayment for sparing M'Baku's life. Healed by Nakia's herb, T'Challa requests aid from M'Baku, who declines.

T'Challa returns to fight Killmonger, who commands W'Kabi and his army to attack T'Challa. The Dora Milaje, joined by Shuri and Nakia, battle Killmonger, who dons his own Black Panther suit. Shuri instructs Ross to remotely pilot a jet to shoot down the planes carrying the vibranium weapons. M'Baku and the Jabari eventually arrive to assist T'Challa. When confronted by Okoye, W'Kabi and his army stand down. Fighting in Wakanda's vibranium mine, T'Challa disrupts Killmonger's suit and fatally stabs him. Killmonger declines an offer to be healed and imprisoned, choosing instead to die a free man.

T'Challa establishes an outreach center at the building where N'Jobu died to be run by Nakia and Shuri. In a mid-credits scene, T'Challa appears before the United Nations to reveal Wakanda's true nature to the world. In a post-credits scene, Shuri continues to help Bucky Barnes with his recuperation.

Mena: I went to see the movie Black Panther last night and i was surprise because Black Panther is one of the greatest hollywood movie ever made and it portrait Africa and African people in a positive and powerful way.

The story of the movie is an African nation have a poweful mineral call vibranium that allows them to have super advance technology like anti gravity airplane, powerful bullet proof suit, magnetic train and energy weapon. The vibranium technology allows Wakanda to create a super advance country that is hidden behind the front of a underdeveloped farming country. It looks like to enter the advance Wakanda from the farming Wakanda people have to enter another dimension.

The King of Wakanda wanted to keep Wakanda vibranium mineral and technology a secret from the world but his brother was smuggling vibranium outside Wakanda to create weapons to free African American and Black people from around the World from oppression. The King of Wakanda kill his own brother by self defense. The king of Wakanda dead brother had a son in the USA.

After the King of Wakanda die in a terrorist attack in the UN his son T Challa play by Chadwick Boseman returned to Wakanda to be crowned as king and Black Panther. Black Panther had to travel to South Korea to stop smuggler and gangster Ulysse Klaue from selling a vibranium axes he had stolen from the British Museum. Erik Killmonger the son of the king brother who was kill by the king was the crime partner of Ulysse Klaue.

Erik Killmonger play by Michael B Jordan who has royal blood because he is the son of the king brother traveled to Wakanda to challenged King TChalla aka Black Panther for the throne of Wakanda. Erik Killmonger defeated King T Challa in a ritual combat and became King. Erik Killmonger has the same plan as his father to use Wakanda vibranium and vibranium technology to free Black people from White oppression and conquer the World.

Black Panther with the help of his technologically genius sister Shuri and his beautiful girlfriend Nakia defeated and killed Erik Killmonger and stop his shipments of vibranium weapons to agent around the world.

The movie Black Panther actors were great. It didnt seem like they were acting it seems like real life. The African Americans actors spoke English with an African accent I couldnt distinguish them from the African actors. the movie was well directed, the movie have nice special effect and great action scene like the museum robbery, the fight scene and car chace in South Korea, the ritual fights for the throne in Wakanda and the last war against King Killmonger.

 -
Osiris resurection ritual. In the Black Panther movie after King TChalla and King Eric Killmonger were coronated they were giving a drink that put them to sleep and they were covered with earth. during their sleep they communicated with their dead fathers after that they quickly awake grasping for air. I think this was a Osiris resurection ritual to communicate with the deade ancestors.

The black panther of course have a black fur. The super hero Black panther have a Black costume. According to the symbologist Jordan Maxwell Black is the color of the planet Saturn. Saturn is the God of law, education, justice, banking and death. The black robe, black suit and black uniform are the symbol of the priesthood of Saturn thats why Rabbis, Priests, Pastors, Judges, Imams, Polices, college graduates wears black clothes.

In Ancient Greece God Kronos was the name of the God and Planet Saturn. Kronos was the God of time. the word chronology meaning the arrangement of events or dates in the order of their occurence was name after Kronos. The word crown come from the God Kronos so Kronos might be the God of monarchs who wears crowns.

The Queen mother of Ramonda play by actress Angela Bassett symbolize Goddess Isis

 -
Goddess Isis
Isis was a major goddess in ancient Egyptian religion whose worship spread throughout the Greco-Roman world. Isis was first mentioned in the Old Kingdom (c. 2686–2181 BCE) as one of the main characters of the Osiris myth, in which she resurrects her slain husband, the divine king Osiris, and produces and protects his heir, Horus. She was believed to help the dead enter the afterlife as she had helped Osiris, and she was considered the divine mother of the pharaoh, who was likened to Horus. Her maternal aid was invoked in healing spells to benefit ordinary people. Originally, she played a limited role in royal rituals and temple rites, although she was more prominent in funerary practices and magical texts.

 -
Princess Shuri who is the designer of the Black Panther suit, vibranium weapons and vibranium high tech symbolize the Egyptian Goddess of Knowledge Seshat

 -
Goddess Seshat
Seshat, under various spellings,[6] was the ancient Egyptian goddess of wisdom, knowledge, and writing. She was seen as a scribe and record keeper, and her name means she who scrivens (i.e. she who is the scribe), and is credited with inventing writing. She also became identified as the goddess of accounting, architecture, astronomy, astrology, building, mathematics, and surveying. These are all professions that relied upon expertise in her skills. She is identified as Safekh-Aubi in some late texts.[7]

Mistress of the House of Books is another title for Seshat, being the deity whose priests oversaw the library in which scrolls of the most important knowledge were assembled and spells were preserved. One prince of the fourth dynasty, Wep-em-nefret, is noted as the Overseer of the Royal Scribes, Priest of Seshat on a slab stela. Heliopolis was the location of her principal sanctuary. She is described as the goddess of history.

God Set

Set /sɛt/ or Seth /sɛθ/ (Egyptian: stẖ; also transliterated Setesh, Sutekh[1], Setekh, or Suty) is a god of the desert, storms, disorder, violence, and foreigners in ancient Egyptian religion.[2] In Ancient Greek, the god's name is given as Sēth (Σήθ). Set had a positive role where he accompanies Ra on his solar boat to repel Apep, the serpent of Chaos.[2] Set had a vital role as a reconciled combatant.[2] He was lord of the red (desert) land where he was the balance to Horus' role as lord of the black (soil) land.[2]

In Egyptian mythology, Set is portrayed as the usurper who killed and mutilated his own brother Osiris. Osiris' wife Isis reassembled (remembered) Osiris' corpse and resurrected him long enough to conceive his son and heir Horus. Horus sought revenge upon Set, and the myths describe their conflicts. This Osiris myth is a prominent theme in Egyptian mythology.

Conflict of Horus and Set
The next phase of the myth begins when the adult Horus challenges Set for the throne of Egypt. The contest between them is often violent but is also described as a legal judgment before the Ennead, an assembled group of Egyptian deities, to decide who should inherit the kingship. The judge in this trial may be Geb, who, as the father of Osiris and Set, held the throne before they did, or it may be the creator gods Ra or Atum, the originators of kingship.[9] Other deities also take important roles: Thoth frequently acts as a conciliator in the dispute[10] or as an assistant to the divine judge, and in "Contendings", Isis uses her cunning and magical power to aid her son.[11]

The rivalry of Horus and Set is portrayed in two contrasting ways. Both perspectives appear as early as the Pyramid Texts, the earliest source of the myth. In some spells from these texts, Horus is the son of Osiris and nephew of Set, and the murder of Osiris is the major impetus for the conflict. The other tradition depicts Horus and Set as brothers.[12] This incongruity persists in many of the subsequent sources, where the two gods may be called brothers or uncle and nephew at different points in the same text.[13]

Horus spears Set, who appears in the form of a hippopotamus, as Isis looks on
The divine struggle involves many episodes. "Contendings" describes the two gods appealing to various other deities to arbitrate the dispute and competing in different types of contests, such as racing in boats or fighting each other in the form of hippopotami, to determine a victor. In this account, Horus repeatedly defeats Set and is supported by most of the other deities.[14] Yet the dispute drags on for eighty years, largely because the judge, the creator god, favors Set.[15] In late ritual texts, the conflict is characterized as a great battle involving the two deities' assembled followers.[16] The strife in the divine realm extends beyond the two combatants. At one point Isis attempts to harpoon Set as he is locked in combat with her son, but she strikes Horus instead, who then cuts off her head in a fit of rage.[17] Thoth replaces Isis's head with that of a cow; the story gives a mythical origin for the cow-horn headdress that Isis commonly wears.[18]

In a key episode in the conflict, Set sexually abuses Horus. Set's violation is partly meant to degrade his rival, but it also involves homosexual desire, in keeping with one of Set's major characteristics, his forceful and indiscriminate sexuality.[19] In the earliest account of this episode, in a fragmentary Middle Kingdom papyrus, the sexual encounter begins when Set asks to have sex with Horus, who agrees on the condition that Set will give Horus some of his strength.[20] The encounter puts Horus in danger, because in Egyptian tradition semen is a potent and dangerous substance, akin to poison. According to some texts, Set's semen enters Horus's body and makes him ill, but in "Contendings", Horus thwarts Set by catching Set's semen in his hands. Isis retaliates by putting Horus's semen on lettuce-leaves that Set eats. Set's defeat becomes apparent when this semen appears on his forehead as a golden disk. He has been impregnated with his rival's seed and as a result "gives birth" to the disk. In "Contendings", Thoth takes the disk and places it on his own head; in earlier accounts, it is Thoth who is produced by this anomalous birth.[21]

Another important episode concerns mutilations that the combatants inflict upon each other: Horus injures or steals Set's testicles and Set damages or tears out one, or occasionally both, of Horus's eyes. Sometimes the eye is torn into pieces.[22] Set's mutilation signifies a loss of virility and strength.[23] The removal of Horus's eye is even more important, for this stolen Eye of Horus represents a wide variety of concepts in Egyptian religion. One of Horus's major roles is as a sky deity, and for this reason his right eye was said to be the sun and his left eye the moon. The theft or destruction of the Eye of Horus is therefore equated with the darkening of the moon in the course of its cycle of phases, or during eclipses. Horus may take back his lost Eye, or other deities, including Isis, Thoth, and Hathor, may retrieve or heal it for him.[22] The Egyptologist Herman te Velde argues that the tradition about the lost testicles is a late variation on Set's loss of semen to Horus, and that the moon-like disk that emerges from Set's head after his impregnation is the Eye of Horus. If so, the episodes of mutilation and sexual abuse would form a single story, in which Set assaults Horus and loses semen to him, Horus retaliates and impregnates Set, and Set comes into possession of Horus's Eye when it appears on Set's head. Because Thoth is a moon deity in addition to his other functions, it would make sense, according to te Velde, for Thoth to emerge in the form of the Eye and step in to mediate between the feuding deities.[24]

In any case, the restoration of the Eye of Horus to wholeness represents the return of the moon to full brightness,[25] the return of the kingship to Horus,[26] and many other aspects of maat.[27] Sometimes the restoration of Horus's eye is accompanied by the restoration of Set's testicles, so that both gods are made whole near the conclusion of their feud.[

Goddess Hathor

Hathor (/ˈhæθɔːr/ or /ˈhæθər/;[2] Egyptian: ḥwt-ḥr; in Greek: Ἅθωρ, meaning "mansion of Horus")[1] is an ancient Egyptian goddess who personified the principles of joy, feminine love, and motherhood.[3] She was one of the most important and popular deities throughout the history of ancient Egypt. Hathor was worshipped by royalty and common people alike. In tomb paintings, she is often depicted as "Mistress of the West", welcoming the dead into the next life. In other roles, she was a goddess of music, dance, foreign lands, and fertility. She was believed to assist women in childbirth.[4] She was also believed to be the patron goddess of miners.[5]

The cult of Hathor predates the historic period, and the roots of devotion to her are therefore difficult to trace. Though it may be a development of predynastic cults that venerated fertility, and nature in general, represented by cows.[6]

General Okoye symbolize the Egyptian Goddess of war Sekhmet

Lioness goddess Sekhmet

n Egyptian mythology, Sekhmet (/ˈsɛkˌmɛt/[1] or Sachmis (/ˈsækmɪs/; also spelled Sakhmet, Sekhet, or Sakhet, among other spellings, means "the powerful one") is a warrior goddess as well as goddess of healing. She is depicted as a lioness, the fiercest hunter known to the Egyptians. It was said that her breath formed the desert. She was seen as the protector of the pharaohs and led them in warfare.

Her cult was so dominant in the culture that when the first pharaoh of the twelfth dynasty, Amenemhat I, moved the capital of Egypt to Itjtawy, the centre for her cult was moved as well. Religion, the royal lineage, and the authority to govern were intrinsically interwoven in ancient Egypt during its approximately three millennia of existence.

Sekhmet also is a solar deity, sometimes called the daughter of the sun god Ra and often associated with the goddesses Hathor and Bast. She bears the Solar disk and the uraeus which associates her with Wadjet and royalty. With these associations she can be construed as being a divine arbiter of the goddess Ma'at (Justice, or Order) in the Judgment Hall of Osiris, associating her with the Wadjet (later the Eye of Ra), and connecting her with Tefnut as well.

^Looking at the video...we tend to blow things out of proportion. First it is fantasy/entertainment.

I have NOT seen the movie as yet. But couldn't it be as simple as "good vs Evil". ala Thor vs Loki.

Evidence of unexplained ancient aircraft can be found across the planet especially in areas where major civilizations once thrived. Physical evidence of alien intervention in human history is undeniable. Ancient Astronaut Theory seeks to explain alien presence in the past linked with Ancient Aircraft and purported landing strips, especially in areas like India (Vimanas), Egypt, and Mesoamerica. Pictographs and megalithic monuments describe human interaction with these entities, allowing those in our timeline to piece together what happened in the past that shapes out destiny today as humanity evolves beyond this consciousness hologram.

A vimana is a word with several meanings ranging from temple or palace to mythological flying machines described in Sanskrit epics. References to these flying machines are commonplace in ancient Indian texts, even describing their use in warfare. As well as being able to fly within Earth's atmosphere, vimanas were also said to be able to travel into space and travel under water.

Descriptions in the Vedas and later Indian literature detail vimanas of various shapes and sizes:

In the Vedas: the Sun and Indra and several other Vedic deities are transported by flying wheeled chariots pulled by animals, usually horses (but the Vedic god Pusan's chariot is pulled by goats).
The "agnihotra-vimana" with two engines. (Agni means fire in Sanskrit.)
The "gaja-vimana" with more engines. (Gaja means elephant in Sanskrit.)
Other types named after the kingfisher, ibis, and other animals.
The word comes from Sanskrit and seems to be vi-mana = 'apart' or 'having been measured". The word also means a part of a Hindu temple. The meaning of the word likely changed in this sequence:
An area of land measured out and set apart to be used for sacred purposes.
Temple
A god's palace
In the Ramayana: the demon-lord Ravana's flying palace called Pushpaka.
In later Indian writings: other flying vehicles, and sometimes as a poetic word for ordinary ground vehicles.
In some modern Indian languages, the word vimana means ordinary real aircraft.

The Buddhist book Vimanavatthu (Pali for "Vimana Stories") uses the word "vimana" with a different meaning: "a small piece of text used as the inspiration for a Buddhist sermon".

Sanskrit texts are filled with references to gods who fought battles in the sky using vimanas equipped with weapons as deadly as any we can deploy in these more enlightened times.

In the Ramayana there is a passage in the Ramayana which reads:

"The Pushpaka chariot that resembles the Sun and belongs to my brother was brought by the powerful Ravana; that aerial and excellent car going everywhere at will .... that car resembling a bright cloud in the sky ... and the King [Rama] got in, and the excellent car at the command of the Raghira, rose up into the higher atmosphere.'"
"Pushpaka" is Sanskrit for "flowery". It is the first flying vimana mentioned in Hindu mythology (as distinct from gods' flying horse-drawn chariots). It is also called Pushpaka Vimana.

The special characteristic of this vehicle is, "What ever may be the number of people sitting in it, always there will be one more seat vacant i.e., If N people sit, There will be (N+1) seats". It was basically a vehicle that could soar the skies for long distances. It shows that even in ancient times, people were curious about flight and might have tried to design flying vehicles.

Pushpaka was originally made by Maya for Kubera, the God of wealth, but was later stolen, along with Lanka, by his half-brother, the demon king Ravana.

The core epic of the Mahabharata mentions no vimanas, but vimanas often occur in the large amount of matter which was added to the Mahabharata corpus later. One example is that the Asura Maya had a Vimana measuring twelve cubits in circumference, with four strong wheels.

The Mahabharata is a veritable gold mine of information relating to conflicts between gods who are said to have settled their differences apparently using weapons as lethal as those we have now. Apart from 'blazing missiles', the poem records the use of other deadly weapons. 'Indra's Dart' (Indravajra) operated via a circular 'reflector'. When switched on, it produced a 'shaft of light' which, when focused on any target, immediately 'consumed it with its power'.

In one exchange, the hero, Krishna, is pursuing his enemy, Salva, in the sky, when Salva's Vimana, the Saubha, is made invisible in some way. Undeterred, Krishna immediately fires off a special weapon: "I quickly laid on an arrow, which killed by seeking out sound". Many other terrible weapons are described, quite matter-of-factly, in the Mahabharata, but the most fearsome of all is the one used against the Vrishis. The narrative records:

"Gurkha flying in his swift and powerful Vimana hurled against the three cities of the Vrishis and Andhakas a single projectile charged with all the power of the Universe. An incandescent column of smoke and fire, as brilliant as ten thousands suns, rose in all its splendour. It was the unknown weapon, the Iron Thunderbolt, a gigantic messenger of death which reduced to ashes the entire race of the Vrishnis and Andhakas."
It is important to note, that these kinds of records are not isolated. They can be cross-correlated with similar reports in other ancient civilizations. The after-affects of this Iron Thunderbolt have an ominously recognizable ring. Apparently, those killed by it were said to be so burnt that their corpses were unidentifiable. The survivors fared little better, as it caused their hair and nails to fall out.

Perhaps the most disturbing and challenging, information about these allegedly mythical Vimanas in the ancient records is that there are some matter-of-fact records, describing how to build one. In their way, the instructions are quite precise.

The Mahabharata also tells of the awesome destructiveness of the war: "... (the weapon was) a single projectile charged with all the power of the Universe. An incandescent column of smoke and flame as bright as the thousand suns rose in all its splendor... An iron thunderbolt, a gigantic messenger of death, which reduced to ashes the entire race of the Vrishnis and the Andhakas.... the corpses were so burned as to be unrecognizable. The hair and nails fell out; pottery broke without apparent cause, and the birds turned white.... after a few hours all foodstuffs were infected.... to escape from this fire, the soldiers threw themselves in streams to wash themselves and their equipment..." Some say that the Mahabharata is describing an atomic war. References like this one are not isolated; but battles, using a fantastic array of weapons and aerial vehicles are common in all the epic Indian books. One even describes a Vimana-Vailix battle on the Moon! The above section very accurately describes what an atomic explosion would look like and the effects of the radioactivity on the population. Jumping into water is the only respite.

In the Sanskrit Samarangana Sutradhara (Literally, "controller of the battlefield"), it is written:

"Strong and durable must the body of the Vimana be made, like a great flying bird of light material. Inside one must put the mercury engine with its iron heating apparatus underneath. By means of the power latent in the mercury which sets the driving whirlwind in motion, a man sitting inside may travel a great distance in the sky. The movements of the Vimana are such that it can vertically ascend, vertically descend, move slanting forwards and backwards. With the help of the machines human beings can fly in the air and heavenly beings can come down to earth."

In 2011 the carving on King Pakal's sarcophagus lid was translated into a three dimensional model by Paul Francis. "Pacal's Sarcophagus" as it is commonly called, refers to an enormous monolithic coffin lid with an intricate carving of the great Mayan ruler, King Pacal aka Pakal (603 - 683), who ruled the ancient Mayan empire at Palenque (located in Chiapas, Mexico). Eric Killmonger in the movie Black Panther playing the role of an African American black operation soldier who has royal blood who went to Wakanda and took power from King T Challa aka Black Panther in order to start a world war to free Black people remind me of African American Liberian warlord and president Charles Taylor who took power in Liberia from Samuel Doe in 1996 and was involved in civil wars in Liberia and Sierra Leone.

 -
The villain character Eric Killmonger of the movie Black Panther could have been base on the Liberian president and warlord Charles Taylor. Killmonger was a USA Black Ops military agent, there is speculation that Charles Taylor was a CIA agent.

Eric Killmonger/Warmonger

Charles McArthur Ghankay Taylor (born 28 January 1948) is a former Liberian politician who was the 22nd President of Liberia, serving from 2 August 1997 until his resignation on 11 August 2003.[1]

Born in Arthington, Montserrado County, Liberia, Taylor earned a degree at Bentley College in the United States before returning to Liberia to work in the government of Samuel Doe. After being removed for embezzlement, he eventually arrived in Libya, where he was trained as a guerilla fighter. He returned to Liberia in 1989 as the head of a Libyan-backed rebel group, the National Patriotic Front of Liberia, to overthrow the Doe regime, initiating the First Liberian Civil War (1989–96). Following Doe's execution, Taylor gained control of a large portion of the country and became one of the most prominent warlords in Africa.[2] Following a peace deal that ended the war, Taylor was elected president in the 1997 general election.[3]

During his term of office, Taylor was accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity as a result of his involvement in the Sierra Leone Civil War (1991–2002). Domestically, opposition to his regime grew, culminating in the outbreak of the Second Liberian Civil War (1999–2003). By 2003, Taylor had lost control of much of the countryside and was formally indicted by the Special Court for Sierra Leone.

That year, he resigned, as a result of growing international pressure, and went into exile in Nigeria. In 2006, the newly elected President, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, formally requested his extradition. He was detained by UN authorities in Sierra Leone and then at the Penitentiary Institution Haaglanden in The Hague, awaiting trial by the Special Court.[4] He was found guilty in April 2012 of all eleven charges levied by the Special Court, including terror, murder and rape.[5] In May 2012, Taylor was sentenced to 50 years in prison. Reading the sentencing statement, Presiding Judge Richard Lussick said: "The accused has been found responsible for aiding and abetting as well as planning some of the most heinous and brutal crimes recorded in human history

Taylor was born in Arthington, a town near the capital of Monrovia, Liberia, on 28 January 1948, to Nelson and Bernice Taylor. He attended The Newman School in his early years. He took the name "Ghankay" later on, possibly to please and gain favor with indigenous Liberians.[7] His mother was a member of the Gola ethnic group, part of the 95% of the people who are indigenous to Liberia. According to most reports, his father was an Americo-Liberian (descended from African-American colonists) who worked as a teacher, sharecropper, lawyer and judge.[8]

In 1977, Taylor earned a degree at Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts, United States.[

Black Panther costume is bullet proof because it is made with the vibranium mineral

Black Panther is just weeks away from opening in theaters and the characters’ distinctive costume is being seen more and more frequently in Marvel Studios' promotional efforts for the film. But how exactly does Black Panther’s suit work?

Marvel Studios recently released the first clip from Black Panther. The scene shows Black Panther riding on top of a vehicle controlled remotely by his sister, Shuri. Those fleeing open fire on Black Panther, but the bullets seem to bounce off of Black Panther’s armor.

Shuri informs her brother that the bullets are actually charging up his suit by letting it absorb all of that kinetic energy. This calls back to how she explained the new version of the Black Panther costume, called the Panther Habit in the comics, to T’Challa.

"It is lighter, completely bulletproof and it absorbs energy for redistribution,” Shuri explained.

Panther leaps onto the hood of the fleeing vehicle and “redistributes” that energy in a way that causes the vehicle to flip back over front.

Black Panther isn’t a true superhuman. In the Marvel Comics universe, a special herb enhances his senses and physical abilities to an extent, but not to car tossing levels. So how does he do it then? Its all in the suit.

We don’t have too many details specifically about the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of the Panther Habit, but we can make some assertions based on how the original comic book version of the costume works.

The Panther Habit, for all of its technological capabilities, is a traditional, ceremonial attire passed down from one chieftain of the Wakanda Panther Cult to another. In Wakandan history, the chieftain of the Panther cult became the ruler of Wakanda. It is only after the chieftain is judged worth by the Panther Goddess, Bast, that he may be presented with the traditional regalia.

SLIDE 1/7 – WAKANDAN TRADITION
Since vibranium is so vital to Wakandan advancement and central to their culture and society, it makes sense that the chieftain’s garb, ceremonial or practical, would make use of this precious and unique metal.

So it has been, and as the Wakandan people have continued to make scientific leaps and better understand the mysterious metal, so has the Panther Habit become more advanced and more capable of various superhuman feats.

This plays into the most significant thing about the Black Panther suit is that it is made with a vibranium micro-weave mesh. Vibranium's unique properties make Black Panther basically bulletproof.

SLIDE 2/7 – VIBRANIUM
black-panther-secret-identity
The vibranium absorbs the momentum and energy oncoming projectiles, causing them to simply fall to the ground rather than ricochet in unpredictable directions.

In the case of Shuri’s MCU costume, it seems she’s managed to engineer a way for the suit to then house and redistribute that energy into some kind of energy pulse. This is what Black Panther uses to flip the car in movie clip.

The mesh is also incredibly durable, able to withstand even a punch from the Hulk. It is also as stab-proof as it is bulletproof, though a slash along the grain of the suit can still tear it.

SLIDE 3/7 – CLAWS
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we’ve seen that the Panther suit has very sharp claws. In fact, they're sharp and strong enough to leave a mark on Captain America's shield.

In the Marvel Comics Universe, the Panther Habit’s claws aren’t just sharp, they are made from vibranium anti-metal.

This ant-metal is able to break down objects at a molecular level and can be fired as projectiles or turned into small blades for hand-to-hand combat.

Black Panther also has standalone energy daggers with hilts carved from ivory or stone. The blades can be shaped to appear as a knife, spear, scythe, or other weapons. They can also be launched as dart-like projectiles.

SLIDE 4/7 – BOOTS
black-panther-chadwick-boseman-anti-hero-the-godfather
One important part of the Panther Habit in the comics are the boots. The Panther suit boots are equipped with energy-dampening technology.

This is what allows Black Panther to make such great leaps from building and other structures and land with cat-like gracefulness instead of breaking his bones. They’re even capable of allowing him to scale a building or to run on water if he goes into the act with enough momentum.

The boots can use that same technology to break a damaged object or, if T’Challa is positioned correctly, to drain the momentum out of a falling or a thrown object. Black Panther once pulled this off with a car that the Hulk threw at him.

SLIDE 5/7 – CLOAKING
Black Panther’s suit, both in the comics and in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is able to manifest at will on T’Challa’s body. Shuri’s design allows the suit to emit onto T’Challa from the necklace he wears.

In the Marvel Comics Universe, this is accomplished using cloaking technology. The cloaking capabilities are controlled by T’Challa’s thoughts. In addition to switching T’Challa’s appearance from superhero to a political officer, it can also render the Black Panther completely invisible.

In the comics, the ability to switch back and forth between Panther suit and regular attire has shown to be quite useful when T’Challa is balancing his duties as head of state with his adventures as a superhero (though in many cases these are one and the same).

SLIDE 6/7 – SHIELDING AND TELEPORTATION
black-panther-chadwick-boseman
(Photo: Marvel Entertainment)
The Panther Habit comes equipped with hard-light shielding, which can be extended to protect innocents or Panther’s allies.

Lastly, and something that fans are unlikely to see in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is Black Panther’s teleportation device. The exact limits of the Black Panther’s device are unknown, but he has used it to come and go as he pleases in the comics.

There’s no telling for sure exactly how many of the Panther Habit’s various abilities from the comics will make it into Black Panther, but its safe to say that director Ryan Coogler and company have plenty to work with.

Juice from the Black Panther plant aka heart shape herb given by High priest Zuri to King T Challa give him super human power like super strength, super speed, the ability to jump high and communication with the dead. before a ritual fight for the throne High priest Zuri will give King T Challa a drink to take away the Black Panther power or heart shape herb drink power from him in order to have a fair fight.

http://marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Heart-Shaped_Herb
Origins
Heart-Shaped Herb (Earth-616) from Avengers Vol 1 87
T'Challa ate the Heart-Shaped Herb.

The Heart-Shaped Herb is a plant that only grows in the nation of Wakanda. In legend it was said to have been a gift from the Panther God, the local deity they worshiped, but in reality the plant had been mutated by a giant meteorite of Vibranium crashing into the earth.[1]

To become the Black Panther, the chieftain of Wakanda, a warrior must defeat the current Black Panther and fight six of Wakanda's greatest warriors all at once. After this they must complete several other tasks to prove their worthiness. If they are successful and gain the role of leadership they have the juices of the Heart-Shaped Herb applied to their body. It is said that anyone not worthy or of noble blood would not survive the process.[

The user gains enhanced speed, agility, strength, endurance, healing and senses to Super-Soldier levels. The user's senses are enhanced so they can now see in total darkness, track any scent, and hear an enemy's heartbeat.[

 -
I think cocaine extracted from the coca plant not only make you high but give user some extra power like strength, speed, agility and focus. This is the reason athlete are forbidden to take drugs because the drug will give them an unfair advantage over regular athletes.

I think it will be a great idea to have a drink that can take cocaine addiction away from people like Zuri had a drink that take away the heart shape herb power from King T Challa.

Horus is one of the most significant ancient Egyptian deities. He was worshipped from at least the late prehistoric Egypt until the Ptolemaic Kingdom and Roman Egypt. Different forms of Horus are recorded in history and these are treated as distinct gods by Egyptologists.[1] These various forms may possibly be different perceptions of the same multi-layered deity in which certain attributes or syncretic relationships are emphasized, not necessarily in opposition but complementary to one another, consistent with how the Ancient Egyptians viewed the multiple facets of reality.[2] He was most often depicted as a falcon, most likely a lanner falcon or peregrine falcon, or as a man with a falcon head.[3]

The earliest recorded form of Horus is the tutelary deity of Nekhen in Upper Egypt, who is the first known national god, specifically related to the king who in time came to be regarded as a manifestation of Horus in life and Osiris in death.[1] The most commonly encountered family relationship describes Horus as the son of Isis and Osiris, and he plays a key role in the Osiris myth as Osiris's heir and the rival to Set, the murderer of Osiris. In another tradition Hathor is regarded as his mother and sometimes as his wife.[1] Horus served many functions, most notably being a god of kingship and the sky.

Ekpe, also known as Egbo (Ibibio: Leopard), is a secret society flourishing chiefly among the Efiks of the Cross River State, the Oron, of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, Arochukwu and some parts of Abia State, as well as in the diaspora, such as in Cuba and Brazil. The society is still active at the beginning of the 21st century, however, now it plays only a ceremonial role. There are two distinct but related societies, the primary one in the Cross River, Arochukwu, Akwa Ibom areas, and the secondary one among the Southern and Eastern Igbo groups. It is general belief amongst the Efik native tribe, although hardly ever substantiated, that the members of the Ekpe society invented the Nsibidi.

Wakandan Vibranium
Mena Ngai from Black Panther Vol 1 7
Wakandan Vibranium is found almost exclusively in the tiny African nation of Wakanda.[5][3]

In the distant past, a massive meteorite comprised of the sound-absorbing mineral vibranium crashed in Wakanda, and was unearthed a generation before the events of the present-day. One of the tribes, lead by Bashenga, it's mightiest warrior, decided to investigate, believing this to be a gift from the gods. When they reached the crater they found that the material vibrated and decided it would be useful to forge into weapons. However the radiation the meteorite gave off also had a side effect, turning some of the tribesman into "Demon Spirits". Bashenga prayed to the Panther God to give him the strength to defeat these demons becoming the first "Black Panther" and united the tribes to form the nation of Wakanda. His lineage would later rule the country for centuries.[6]

Vibranium radiation has permeated much of Wakanda's flora and fauna, including the Heart-Shaped Herb eaten by members of the Black Panther Cult, and the flesh of the White Apes's eaten by the members of the White Gorilla Cult.[6]

Wakandan Vibranium absorbs vibratory or kinetic energy in its vicinity within itself.[3] The apparent observable vibratory rate of the molecules of the Vibranium itself does not noticeably increase when the Vibranium absorbs mechanical energy.[3] The outside vibratory energy is stored within the bonds between the molecules making up the Vibranium.[3] As a result, a chunk of Vibranium which had absorbed a considerable amount of vibratory energy would be exceedingly hard to demolish.[3] If enough force were applied to this chunk to smash it, the Vibranium would explode, releasing much of the absorbed energy.[3] There are limits to the capacity of Vibranium to absorb vibratory energy, although the exact extent of these limits has not been determined.[3

Black Panther vibranium mineral remind me of the Democratic Republic of Congo mineral call coltan that is necessary in the manufacturing of cell phone and other electronics. During the DRC Congo civil war the rebel illegally mined and exported coltan and diamonds in order to financed their war against the government.

Fact on Coltan
Coltan (Columbite-Tantalite) is a dull metallic ore found in major quantities in the eastern areas of Congo. When refined, COLTAN becomes metallic Tantalum, a heat-resistant powder that can hold a high electrical charge.
Columbite ((Fe, Mn, Mg)(Nb, Ta)2O6 : Iron Manganese Magnesium Niobium Tantalum Oxide) is the most abundant niobium mineral and is used in alloys for improved strength. Also known as Niobium, it also has shown potential superconductive properties and is being used in studies with other metals for possible breakthroughs in the manufacturing of superconductive alloys.

Tantalite ((Fe, Mn)(Ta, Nb)2O6 : Iron Manganese Tantalum Niobium Oxide) is the most widespread tantalum mineral and makes for an important ore of the industrially useful metal. Tantalum (Ta) is a gray, heavy, and extremely hard metal. When pure, it is ductile and can be drawn into fine wire, which is used as a filament for evaporating metals such as aluminum. Tantalum is almost completely immune to chemical reaction at temperatures low temperatures (sub-150 degrees C), and is reactive only with hydrofluoric acid, acidic solutions containing the fluoride ion, and free sulfur trioxide. At higher temperatures, Tantalum becomes much more reactive though it has a melting point exceeded only by Tungsten and Rhenium. Tantalum is used to make a variety of alloys with desirable properties such as extremely high melting points, extreme strength, good ductility, etc. Tantalum has good "gettering" ability at high temperatures, and tantalum oxide films are stable with good rectifying and dielectric properties.

Tantalum is used mainly in the manufacture of condensers and micro-electronic technology (chips and processors), cell phones and nuclear reactors. It is also used in the production of steel varieties having a high heat tolerances, like those used in the engines of aircraft. Whereas it was formerly only one secondary product of the exploitation of Tin, Tantalum became today, under the terms of its specific characteristics, a very required element.

Coltan (short for columbite–tantalites and known industrially as tantalite) is a dull black metallic ore from which the elements niobium and tantalum are extracted. The niobium-dominant mineral in coltan is columbite (after niobium's original American name, columbium), and the tantalum-dominant mineral is tantalite.[1]

Tantalum from coltan is used to manufacture batteries for electric cars, and in tantalum capacitors used in electronic products. Coltan mining[2][3] has helped to finance serious conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo, for example the Ituri conflict and the Second Congo War.[4

 -

Approximately 71% of global tantalum supply in 2008 was newly mined, 20% was from recycling, and the remainder was from tin slag and inventory.[7] Tantalum minerals are mined in Australia, Brazil, China, Ethiopia, and Mozambique.[8] Tantalum is also produced in Thailand and Malaysia as a by-product of tin mining and smelting. Potential future mines, in descending order of magnitude, are being explored in Egypt, Greenland, China, Australia, Finland, Canada and Brazil.[9]

Many global mining companies -- 60% of all mining companies -- have registered with the lightly-regulated stock exchanges in Toronto and Vancouver, with the exception of a single proposed mine in Blue River BC, due to environmental regulations no mining of coltan is currently taking place in Canada itself.[10] In Canada, Tanco Mine near Bernic Lake in Manitoba has tantalum reserves but today it is world's largest producer of caesium, operated by Cabot Corporation, which bought it in 1993. Cobalt, Ontario formerly produced cobalt as a byproduct of its silver mines, but there has been no mining in the area since the 1980s. In 2017 one mill still operated and the mayor has invited investment from companies who are interested in refining the slag on abandoned mine sites. A discussion updated in 2017 of Canadian mining by Natural Resources Canada does not mention either coltan or tantalum.[11]A Rwandan official discussing prospective mines in his country said that Canada had 4% of global production in 2009; but in rock so hard that the ore is too expensive to extract. Rwanda's 2009 tantalum production was 9%.[12]

In 2016 Rwanda accounted for 50% of global tantalum production. In 2017 Rwanda announced that AB Minerals Corporation would open a coltans[13] Uganda and Rwanda both exported coltan in the early 2000s after they invaded the DRC, but the coltan came from mines in the DRC, according to the final report of the UN Panel of Experts on the Illegal Exploitation of Natural Resources and Other Forms of Wealth in the Democratic Republic of Congo.[14][15]

In 2013 Highland African Mining Company (HAMC), now Noventa, closed its Marropino mine in the Gilé District of Zambézia Province, Mozambique, citing poor-quality infrastructure and ore that was both very radioactive and mostly depleted. It was losing US $3 on every ton extracted and each had reported accumulated losses of around US$150 million by June 2013.[16]

Reserves have been identified in Afghanistan,[17][18] but the ongoing war there precludes exploring or exploring for coltan for the foreseeable future.[19] The United States does not produce tantalum due to the poor quality of its reserves.[20]

Australian mining company Sons of Gwalia once produced half the world's tantalum but went into administration in 2004. Talison Minerals paid $205 million to buy the Wodgina and Greenbushes tantalum business of Sons of Gwalia but temporarily closed Wodgina because of falling tantalum prices. The mine re-opened in 2011 but closed again after less than a year. Atlas Iron began mining iron ore there in 2010 and ceased operations there in April 2017.[21] Global Advanced Mining announced in 2018 that it planned to restart tantalum production at the Greenbushes mine within a year. Talison Lithium, 51% owned 51% by Chinese company Tianqi Lithium Industries, Inc. (SZSE:002466) and 49% by the US-based Albemarle Corporation, will continue to mine lithium at Greenbushes in parallel with the GAM tantalum operation.[22]

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez announced in 2009 that a significant reserve of coltan was discovered in western Venezuela, although at least one coltan mining operation had previously been authorized in the area. Nonetheless he outlawed private mines in the region and, saying that the FARC was financing itself with illegal mining, sent 15,000 troops in to deal with them. Technical advisers for the mining project were allegedly provided by a subsidiary of Khatam-al Anbiya Construction Headquarters, a wholly-owned enterprise of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard which had been under US sanctions since October 25, 2007.[23]

Also in 2009, the Colombian government announced coltan reserves had been found in Colombia's eastern provinces.[24] Director of the Colombian Police Oscar Naranjo Trujillo stated in October 2011 that the FARC and the Sinaloa Cartel are working together in the unlicensed coltan mining in Colombia. Colombia announced a joint operation with the United States to arrest three suspects who, according to Semana, inherited the illegal business run from their brother, Francisco Cifuentes Villa, alias ‘Pancho Cifuentes,’ who once worked for Pablo Escobar.[25] In 2012 Colombian police seized 17 tons of coltan in Guainía Department. The police said it had been mined on an indigenous reserve and bought for $10 a kilo and sold it for $80 to 100 dollars a kilo, after smuggling it across the border into Brazil, where there are smelters, and sold on through the black market to buyers in Germany, Belgium, Kazakhstan and the United States. Colombia has 5% of global coltan reserves.[26] One of the regions suffering from illegal gold and coltran mining in Colombia is the wetland known as Estrella Fluvial del Inírida (Inírida Fluvial Star), a Ramsar protected wetland.[27][28][29]

The United States responded to conflict minerals with section 1501 of the Dodd-Frank Act, which required that companies who might have conflict minerals in their supply chain to register with the US Securities and Exchange Commission disclose their suppliers. Reaction to this legislation was mixed. Based on extensive qualitative fieldwork conducted from 2014 to 2016 with coltan buyers operating in Bukama Territory, Kalemie and Lubumbashi, Katanga Province, one researcher suggested that conflict mineral reforms resulted in better oversight and organization of supply chains, but that inaction by the Congolese government had led to locally-negotiated solutions and territorialization which obscure access criteria.[30]

The Black Panther Party or the BPP (originally the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense) was a political organization founded by Bobby Seale and Huey Newton in October 1966.[1][2] The party was active in the United States from 1966 until 1982, with international chapters operating in the United Kingdom in the early 1970s,[3] and in Algeria from 1969 until 1972.[4]

At its inception on October 15,[5] 1966, the Black Panther Party's core practice was its armed citizens' patrols to monitor the behavior of officers of the Oakland Police Department and challenge police brutality in Oakland, California. In 1969, community social programs became a core activity of party members.[6] The Black Panther Party instituted a variety of community social programs, most extensively the Free Breakfast for Children Programs, and community health clinics to address issues like food injustice.[7][8][9] The party enrolled the largest number of members and made the greatest impact in the Oakland-San Francisco Bay Area, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Philadelphia.[10]

Federal Bureau of Investigation Director J. Edgar Hoover called the party "the greatest threat to the internal security of the country",[11][12][13] and he supervised an extensive counterintelligence program (COINTELPRO) of surveillance, infiltration, perjury, police harassment, and many other tactics designed to undermine Panther leadership, incriminate party members, discredit and criminalize the Party, and drain the organization of resources and manpower. The program was also accused of assassinating Black Panther members.[14][15][16][17]

Black Panther Party members were involved in many fatal firefights with police including Huey Newton allegedly killing officer John Frey in 1967 and the 1968 Eldridge Cleaver led ambush of Oakland police officers which wounded two officers and killed Panther Bobby Hutton. The party was also involved in many internal conflicts including the murders of Alex Rackley and Betty Van Patter.

Government oppression initially contributed to the party's growth, as killings and arrests of Panthers increased its support among African Americans and on the broad political left, both of whom valued the Panthers as a powerful force opposed to de facto segregation and the military draft. Black Panther Party membership reached a peak in 1970, with offices in 68 cities and thousands of members, then suffered a series of contractions. After being vilified by the mainstream press, public support for the party waned, and the group became more isolated.[18] In-fighting among Party leadership, caused largely by the FBI's COINTELPRO operation, led to expulsions and defections that decimated the membership.[19] Popular support for the Party declined further after reports appeared detailing the group's involvement in illegal activities such as drug dealing and extortion schemes directed against Oakland merchants.[20] By 1972 most Panther activity centered on the national headquarters and a school in Oakland, where the party continued to influence local politics. Though under constant police surveillance, the Chicago chapter remained active and maintained their community programs until 1974.[10] The Seattle chapter lasted longer than most, with a breakfast program and medical clinics that continued even after the chapter disbanded in 1977.[10] Party contractions continued throughout the 1970s, and by 1980, the Black Panther Party had just 27 members.[21]

The history of the Black Panther Party is controversial. Scholars have characterized the Black Panther Party as the most influential black movement organization of the late 1960s, and "the strongest link between the domestic Black Liberation Struggle and global opponents of American imperialism".[22] Other commentators have described the Party as more criminal than political, characterized by "defiant posturing over substance"

Maya Jaguar God
The pre-Columbian Maya religion knew various jaguar gods, in addition to jaguar demi-gods, (ancestral) protectors, and transformers. The main jaguar deities are discussed below. Their associated narratives (part of Maya mythology) are still largely to be reconstructed. Lacandon and Tzotzil-Tzeltal oral tradition are particularly rich in jaguar lore.

The Jaguar God of Terrestrial Fire and War ('Night Sun')
The Jaguar God of Terrestrial Fire is recognizable by a 'cruller' around the eyes (making a loop over the nose), jaguar ears, and jaguar fangs. He personifies the number Seven, which is associated with the day Ak'b'al[pronunciation?] ('Night'). Usually called 'Jaguar God of the Underworld', he has been assumed to be the 'Night Sun' - the shape supposedly taken by the sun (Kinich Ahau) during his nightly journey through the underworld - for reason of having the large eyes and filed incisor that also occur with the sun deity, and of sometimes evincing a k 'in infix. The deity's hypothetical aspect of a nocturnal sun (that is, a subterranean fire) should perhaps be connected to his proven association with terrestrial fire. He is often represented on incense burners and connected to fire rituals,[1] while his 'cruller' may represent a cord used in making fire with a stick (Taube). Moreover, vases in codical style show him, captured, about to be burnt with torches. The nocturnal sun hypothesis is complicated by this very incident, and even more so by the fact that the fiery jaguar deity is identified with a star (or, perhaps, a constellation or planet).[2] The god's other sphere of influence is war, witness for example the stereotypical presence of his face on war shields.

I finally went to Wakanda. There were two Black Panthers and a Jabari tribe that worshipped the Monkey God Hanuman. The Hindu Monkey God is Hanuman.

The Amazon Warrior Queen, Xena used an Indian weapon called a chakram.

Maybe, both these ideas are of African origin.

They show Xena reruns here in NYC.

I prefer the Monkey King to both Black Panthers. Their ideas were two extreme. Too violent and too generous with secret technology.

The Monkey People saved the day.

Erik Killmonger African mask in Black Panther. Some people say the mask looks like Baphomet.

n one scene Erik Killmonger wears a mask. The masks, known as Mgbedike, are distinguished by the large size and bold masculine features. They are used in Igbo rituals and are designed to contrast the female dancers with their more feminine beauty.

Baphomet
The 19th century image of a Sabbatic Goat, created by Eliphas Levi. The arms bear the Latin words SOLVE (separate) and COAGULA

 -
The original goat pentagram first appeared in the book La Clef de la Magie Noire by French occultist Stanislas de Guaita, in 1897. This symbol would later become synonymous with Baphomet, and is commonly referred to as the Sabbatic Goat. Samael is a figure in Talmudic lore, and Lilith, a female demon in Jewish mythology. The Hebrew letters at the five points of the pentagram spell out Leviathan, a mythic creature in Jewish lore. This symbol was later adapted by the Church of Satan in 1969 and officially named the Sigil of Baphomet

Baphomet (/ˈbæfoʊmɛt/; from Medieval Latin Baphometh, Baffometi, Occitan Bafometz) is a term originally used to describe an idol or other deity that the Knights Templar were accused of worshipping and that subsequently was incorporated into disparate occult and mystical traditions.

Baphomet appears as a term for a pagan idol in trial transcripts of the Inquisition of the Knights Templar in the early 14th century.[1] It first came into popular English usage in the 19th century during debate and speculation on the reasons for the suppression of the Templars.[2]

Since 1856, the name Baphomet has been associated with a "Sabbatic Goat" image drawn by Eliphas Levi[3] which contains binary elements representing the "sum total of the universe" (e.g. male and female, good and evil, etc.).[4] On one hand, Lévi's intention was to symbolize his concept of "the equilibrium of the opposites" that was essential to his magnetistic notion of the Astral Light; on the other hand, the Baphomet represents a heretical tradition that should result in a perfect social order, a notion that can only be understood against Lévi's socialist background.

When the medieval order of the Knights Templar was suppressed by King Philip IV of France, on Friday October 13, 1307, Philip had many French Templars simultaneously arrested, and then tortured into confessions. Over 100 different charges had been leveled against the Templars. Most of them were dubious, as they were the same charges that were leveled against the Cathars[12] and many of King Philip's enemies; he had earlier kidnapped Pope Boniface VIII and charged him with near identical offenses of heresy, spitting and urinating on the cross, and sodomy. Yet Malcolm Barber observes that historians "find it difficult to accept that an affair of such enormity rests upon total fabrication".[13] The "Chinon Parchment suggests that the Templars did indeed spit on the cross," says Sean Martin, and that these acts were intended to simulate the kind of humiliation and torture that a Crusader might be subjected to if captured by the Saracens, where they were taught how to commit apostasy "with the mind only and not with the heart".[14] Similarly Michael Haag[15] suggests that the simulated worship of Baphomet did indeed form part of a Templar initiation ritual.

The name Baphomet comes up in several of these confessions. Peter Partner states in his 1987 book The Knights Templar and their Myth, "In the trial of the Templars one of their main charges was their supposed worship of a heathen idol-head known as a 'Baphomet' ('Baphomet' = Mahomet)."[16] The description of the object changed from confession to confession. Some Templars denied any knowledge of it. Others, under torture, described it as being either a severed head, a cat, or a head with three faces.[17] The Templars did possess several silver-gilt heads as reliquaries,[18] including one marked capud lviiim,[19] another said to be St. Euphemia,[20] and possibly the actual head of Hugues de Payens.[21] The claims of an idol named Baphomet were unique to the Inquisition of the Templars.[22][23] Karen Ralls, author of the Knights Templar Encyclopedia, argues that it is significant that "no specific evidence [of Baphomet] appears in either the Templar Rule or in other medieval period Templar documents."[

Modern scholars such as Peter Partner and Malcolm Barber agree that the name of Baphomet was an Old French corruption of the name Muhammad, with the interpretation being that some of the Templars, through their long military occupation of the Outremer, had begun incorporating Islamic ideas into their belief system, and that this was seen and documented by the Inquisitors as heresy.[26] Alain Demurger, however, rejects the idea that the Templars could have adopted the doctrines of their enemies.[27] Helen Nicholson writes that the charges were essentially "manipulative"—the Templars "were accused of becoming fairy-tale Muslims."[27] Medieval Christians believed that Muslims were idolatrous and worshipped Muhammad as a god, with mahomet becoming mammet in English, meaning an idol or false god.[28] This idol-worship is attributed to Muslims in several chansons de geste. For example, one finds the gods Bafum e Travagan in a Provençal poem on the life of St. Honorat, completed in 1300.[29] In the Chanson de Simon Pouille, written before 1235, a Saracen idol is called Bafumetz

While modern scholars and the Oxford English Dictionary[32] state that the origin of the name Baphomet was a probable Old French version of "Mahomet",[16][26] alternative etymologies have also been proposed.

In the 18th century, speculative theories arose that sought to tie the Knights Templar with the origins of Freemasonry.[33] Bookseller, Freemason and Illuminatus[34] Christoph Friedrich Nicolai (1733–1811), in Versuch über die Beschuldigungen welche dem Tempelherrenorden gemacht worden, und über dessen Geheimniß (1782), was the first to claim that the Templars were Gnostics, and that "Baphomet" was formed from the Greek words βαφη μητȢς, baphe metous, to mean Taufe der Weisheit, "Baptism of Wisdom".[35] Nicolai "attached to it the idea of the image of the supreme God, in the state of quietude attributed to him by the Manichaean Gnostics", according to F. J. M. Raynouard, and "supposed that the Templars had a secret doctrine and initiations of several grades" which "the Saracens had communicated ... to them."[36] He further connected the figura Baffometi with the pentagram of Pythagoras:

Johannesburg, Gauteng Provence which is the richest area and just east of the Western Cape.

Both these areas have high Xhosa population and many Whites. There was an Afrikaner in the film who was close to Killmonger.

The Xhosa, Zulu and Tswana are part of the Nguni branch of the Bantu people. There are about a good 5 major tribes in South Africa.

South Africa is also part East Indian and some of the Blacks or Coloureds are part East Indian.

The Black Panther is a Black Leopard and the leopard is a sign of kingship for the Ngunis.

For the record, Jesus and Satan were NOT rivals the way Heru and Set were. That is false doctrine of the type seen in Mormonism where Jesus and Satan are brothers.

But other than that, I think a lot of what Mena picked are rather figments of his mind than anything substantial. To me the only occult them I saw was the references to the Egyptian goddess Bastet and the fields of the ancestors where all the kings were.
