Living in Egypt after being abroad for so many years, or even being born abroad is not a joy, as we might all agree.But letĄ¯s talk about it in more details, what are the positives and negatives of going back to Egypt to actually live there.
I would personally start with the negatives, as they are alot.
First of all, you are always to be considered as an outsider.
You are being asked to pay more in dealing with money situations.
The country for some reason seems to be so dirty!!!! I just can't get over that.
People are horrible most of the time. Morals are basically gone, cheating and screwing you up is the basic.
There goes the say, if the head is cheating and screwing up everyone , then why not the whole body!
People that you donĄ¯t know and never met in your life end up giving you the treatment of your no better than us! Constantly!
What is up with classifying people in Egypt!!! ItĄ¯s so noticeable, the low class is always put down, the middle class is lost in between and the upper class put down everyone else!
hmmmmm the list goes on and on and on. (To be continued...)
Positives,
You kinda feel better dealing in your own native language (Arabic), Egyptians are funny like hell. You could find friendships that would last you a lifetime.
Mosques are everywhere (best thing about living in Islamic country and not specific to Egypt).
