Vodaphone has this Holiday package, a pay as you go one... it last about 30 or 60 days...
If she takes a GSM phone she'll be ok, you can buy a mobi-nil or vodaphone once you get there...

My sister is soon to visit Egypt for 3-4 weeks. What can she do with her mobile while she is there?
Does Egypt have "Pre-Paid" SIMS for tourists?
I got a mobinil sim card and put it in my handset - it cost something like 70LE. Buy a 100LE top up and you get about 90LE credits. If you buy a 20LE top up you only end up with about 8LE (or sometimes 17LE - its all a big mystery to me how it works!). A text costs about 50piastras to send.

Does any companies offer free or cheap calls between mobiles from same company. Here Vodafone gives free nite calls and cheap day calls between vodafone mobiles.
