We couldn't help the Lebanese during their civil war. We couldn't help the Lebanese when they were invaded in 1982 We couldn't help the Palestinians since.....well forever. We couldn't help the Palestinians when they elected Hamas and were punished for doing so. We couldn't help the Afghan people. We couldn't help the Iraqi people. We can't even help ourselves, what gives you the impression we can help anyone......we're useless.

I feel helpless to this situation and i already know it will do nothing but get worse. The only way i know of to help them is to pray and that is what i am doing.

I cant believe you said that. UM those people freed the southern lebanon in the past... the israelis simply want to take over lebanon and claim it as theirs as they have palestine. Israel has no right or justification for this

definitely the states are overstepping and playing god with people and i am from the usa. The fact that they refuse to tell israel to back off when the rest of the world is holding manifestations its shameful. and mike rozier, would you be saying the same thing if it were your home being destroyed or your child that is shot, bombed, mangled???? You should take a good look at the pictures and then say that israel is rightfully "defending" themselves.. what did those children do??

The last thing Lebanon wants from Egypt is their help, Egyptians are too fanatical! Most lebanese don't like HizbAllah anyways. And ofcourse they need to find a way to stop the dirty Zionist Israelis! Hopefully get rid of Israelis and Hizballah!

As from what ive seen there are very few israeli children injured or killed in fact very few israelis at all in this thing. Meanwhile picture after picture of children in lebanon and palestine...... these countries have no where near the military ammunitions or advancements israel does. Imagine throwing rocks and the response being shot.. real comparable huh. Just like taking 2 soldiers hostage and getting bombed for it,,, um how many soldiers and citizens is Israeli holding? Thousands

What those 2 soldiers where doing in Lebanon in the first place. We are all supporting Mr. Hasan Nasr Allah. And those rockets will not stop falling in Israel

I will never take the israeli side, I agree people have a right to defend themselves but they are not defending themselves they are attacking and destroying and using a show of force that is uncalled for. Sure their soldiers have been taken captive, but they have taken plenty of soldiers and civilians captive. What they do in shooting children or people that throw stones is a disgrace.... hmm wonder what would happen if we all shot someone for just throwing a stone. We would be executed thats what. I feel badly for all children involved on both sides but facts are facts children in lebanon and palestine are dying far more than israeli. There is a commercial now here in egypt that gives the percents. 35% of all injured are children, 45%of those killed are children under 5, 50% of refugees are children, 60% will not be returning to school anytime soon, 70% will never be reunited with their families, 100 % will never be the same. As an american i am ashamed that usa is backing this and i am sorry. An eye for an eye is one thing but this is an eye for a body.

What I find bizarre is when the IDF went beyound the buffer zone, then and only then was 2 soilders taken hostage. Which is totally within the laws of war and the Geneva convention. Its called POWs.
But while the Lebanese had eye witnesses to the soilders being put into custody, the IDF claimed that they were still investigating.
Even during the Yugoslavia incident Serbs would admit when their soilders were taken in as POWs and wouldn't bother to argue. But not the IDF, they don't see a buffer zone and they certainly don't consider the border between Israel and Lebanon to be lawful to their existance.
No its another media ploy "the IDF is investigating" without ever coming to a conclusion and then putting a spin on it later without ever stating actual facts with evidence to back it up.

Lebanon definitly doesn't need any EGyptians gett'n involved, it would never end that way...in Egypt we need to pay attention to our OWN problems before we worry about anyone else!! Because i say these things doesn't mean i 'm anti Egypt, and if you don't understand my point then there is no reason to explain anyways!

why cant you all just get on and be happy together in the Middle East, you are all mainly Muslims arnt you?? Surely Allah is about peace and not promoting terrorism and war. Egypt has references to peace wherever you look, Egyptians i know def are NOT fanatics
