hey i am from the united states and would like to learn to speak the egyptian language... is the egyptian language the same as the arabic language

Yes Egyptian is Arabic but i advise you to learn classic Arabic first then you can chose which accent to pick up. i think Egyptian Arabic is the most popular accent because all Arabs can understand it because they are Hollywood Arabs, they have all the great movies and songs made in Egypt.
