Has anyone taken the train from Alex to Cairo?

Like the air conditioned express, I know its $5 for foreigners but would it be the same price for locals?

I understand the schedule says the turbo takes 2 hours 10 minutes, but I was told that the train wasn't that fast.

Has anyone taken it, the turbo? How on time and fast was it?

I have taken a train from Cairo to Alex it took 3 hours. Air conditioned and very nice I think it cost about 40le but my boyfriend bought tickets so it was cheaper! if it cost 60le that is still cheap and I think good value for money x
