September 2004 to February 2005? It's a little early to be securing a flat for so far away, unless you have the $$ to pay 7 months worth of rent to hold it for you til Sept.
You might want to come in early August to look for something appropriate so you'll have it for September. If you wait til Sept. every other student at AUC or where ever you are going will be looking at the same time too....which could mean roomates will be plentiful, but the best flats might be harder to find too.
