HI everyone, I am English and I am confused on the laws on marriage in Egypt for under 18s. My daughter has been with her Egyptian boyfriend for 13 months now and she is planning on marrying him soon. However we are not sure about the marital process for under 18s, if anyone could tell me it would be most appreciated. Thanks Lynn.

I would suggest that you contact your country's embassy in Cairo, they would be the best people to advise you in this matter and they should be able to tell you whether your daughter can marry legally in Egypt or not. http://www.britishembassy.org.eg/
