Membership is very economical and there are two clubhouses in Cairo. It's an alternative if you want to watch the games with a cold beer and mates around you.

Do they not have alcohol free Beer out in Egypt? This could be tragic news and result in a emergency U-turn to Morocco!

They do have something called Birel (I think that is the name). It's alcohol free, but I'm not sure if they serve it at the club or not..... don't think I've ever seen it there, but that doesn't mean it isn't there....just means it isn't something that many others drink there.

When I was in Saudi I remember they had Alchol Free Budweiser,Holstens & Everything. If Eygpt doesn't have that then this could be an issue...come to think of it I was in Morocco for 2 years and they didn't have it either....I survived there so I suppose I could survive on Birel?

EM - I've always found it interesting that people actually like non alcoholic beer. I just don't see the point in it. Beer is not, in my opinion, that great tasting.... I mean compare it to a cola, lemonaid, or just about anything else....even water.... so the point for me of drinking beer is for the buzz (hey...I'm honest if nothing else).

I see your point Debbie but for me I think it's the buzz of getting memory's of how I used to be! I loved my beer so much before I was a Muslim and even though I would never ever think about changing back to a non-Muslim, I do enjoy reminiscing on my old days and in turn I feel even more gratitude for embracing Islam!
So for me, it's just a real personal thing, most of the time I'm really quite serious but get me in front of an Arsenal game and but a non-alci Bud in my hand and I'm an absolute idiot all over again..well for the 90 minutes anyway!

Was I that confusing?? Simple: Cold beer isn't a good idea English Muslim.. Advice or rather to correct a comment from you to him (him being a new moslem) The fact that I love beer is a fact. judgemental?? I was defending my good friend Abdulkarim (E.M). I wish I am half as honest with myself like he is with himself. I don't Judge.
