Good morning to all members of ES, as you (might) know our dear member Nooralhaq is leaving next Tuesday her beloved country USA to move to another beautiful country ,EGYPT, and will get married to the man who captured her heart.
Its indeed sad to say goodbye to her but we all should be happy for her and may the move, the adjustment to life in Egypt, to be a wife work out wonderful.
I think we should throw her a little "virtual farewell party" before she's gone, wish her all the best and give her some tips for her new start.
Noor, I am myself very excited what the future will hold for you, I sincerely wish everything will work out the best and please if you find time, if you in need, come back here on ES to talk to us. We will miss you a lot, girl.
Good-bye and all the best.

Praying that you cope with the transition well and the culture shock will be as minimal as you are hoping it will be. Try to get some real live friends who can help you through the transition; those groups I mentioned to you before might be a good start. Your husband should be able to help to a certain extent, but most “newcomers” find the need for contacts from their own cultures who understand how they see things. And finally I hope your married life will turn out to be happy, long-lasting, fruitful, and most important of all, bring you closer to Allah.

The sweetest people are here on ES. Thanks to: Tigerlilly - for always having the sweetest things to say when I need to hear them
7aya- for always keeping us balanced especially with respects to the diversity of Egypt, and thank you for extending your hand to me in Egypt
Masrii- thanks for the advice, I grew up here in Texas, if the mesquitos are bigger than they are here, I would be shocked!
Serendipity- thank you for always posting such nice topics and trying so much to be fair even when sometimes others weren't so fair to you, you are a true Lady
Newcomer- you've always told it like it is, and I have kept your advices as well as keeping in my mind to hold some people close to me. You are wise beyond your years.
Samia- I haven't really got to know you well, but so many I am close to have always spoken very well of you. I would love to grow my circle of friends as much as I can, thank you for your welcome to your beautiful country.
Snoozin-ohhh, Suz, what can I say to you that so many don't already say? You have been my partner in crime, my touchstone and my conscience since I have known you. There has always been nothing but respect between us and THIS is the most anyone could hope for in a friend. I love you bunches and hope to see you in Egypt within the year, inshallah. So nice sharing convert stories with you, and not feeling 'so alone'. You're always in my thoughts.
Paint me as I am (Jannah)- a TRULY lovely soul who feels things so emotionally and never has bad things to say about anybody. You always teach me how to see the world and others, and for this, I could never thank you enough. We will stay in touch, inshallah, when I think of you 'true friend' is the only thing in my mind.
Keepin it Real- You definitely keep it real and I always imagine you by the water on an evening enjoying the beautiful Western Coast of our beloved States. You reached out your hand to me here and were a friend to me. Alhamdullilah for everything.
Gigli- I call you 'The Great Peace maker' of the ES forum, you have a light that attracts so many and you have a natural calming effect to many of us on ES. You kindness is so appreciated.
River of Love- Thank you for always gracing the forum with your beautiful poetry and coloring our lives with your deep and emotional thoughts.
MyKingdomForATaba2Koshari- my entire time on this forum I have wondered with your names, but it doesn't matter. I always know you to be one with a great sense of humor and a gentle heart. You once said to me 'Noor you seem so sweet and innocent' and something about those words make me always associate your name with the same.
Horemheb- thank you giving me the intellectual stimulation in our Politics room day in and day out now for over a year! Sometimes we want to tear each other apart, but you are my brother in Texas, with a good heart for your family and friends. Just don't lean so far right and you'll be fine. I'll miss you guy
Kafir- (yes I am naming him/her), I know you're American even though you won't admit it, but that's ok. Most of what you post infuriates me and disgusts me on a day to day basis, but it also reminds me that there are no two people alike, and part of that is what makes this world so beautiful and worth living. I hope you find the truth.
Crazylobo- My 3rd person speaking friend, you have filled me with laughter that you will never truly know the extent of. Thank you for reminding me that things on ES aren't always so serious and being so sweet in your manner.
Sonomod- we never really saw eye-to-eye since I joined ES (what seems like ages ago), but I always hope for you the best with your family and with Islam as well. I hope your studies take you where you need to be in your life and hope also the best for you and your little girl...daughters and mothers have bonds nobody could touch or understand. Nobody knows your situation truly except yourself and I hope so much that you find your deserved happiness and the peace you crave.
1mangang- thank you for showing us how a true Western Cowboy Gentleman defends women here and for showing us how much a brother can love his converted sister, even so far as joining an Egypt Message Board on her behalf. I hope God graces you with so much for supporting your sister and her marriage to an Egyptian husband, you will always remind me of what I miss about home, I will come often to get the scoop of Dallas from you
Sam on Line- even though you are the moderator, and I wish you were, thanks for you for giving us great laughs and for being one of the men here the women aren't afraid to talk to (so as to avoid flirtation). You made ES so fun.
Salama (even though she's been banned)- my first friend on ES she continues to be close to me to this day. Always willing to help others and give advice, share knowledge and truly interested in her friends' feelings and well being. If you knew Salama while she was here, you would miss her too!
GermanJulia- we didn't get a chance to know each other in time but I can tell from our talks you are a sweet girl. Thanks for our German Exchanges, I rarely get to use my German, and thanks for your kind words when I was harrassed. Good luck with your Spanish
Someone_lost - thanks for your great memory and for your sweetness here. I never knew if you were a girl or a boy, but it didn't matter. You were always friendly and sweet to all here.
To any I might have forgotten, I'm so sorry, I'm getting depressed about leaving and kind of emotional. My last day on ES (for a while at least) will be Monday, inshallah. Love to you all...truly, and thank you for my own thread, I'm a softie so I'm all choked up

Hi Gail. Yes everything changed so it might have deleted some of the post in some threads.
I was telling you before it got lost, how proud I am of you and how I had wanted to ask you about that Qur'an and if you were able to thumb through it at all. I'm so happy to hear you have, even if you put it down for a while to come back to it.
Thanks to God I am fine, I am very excited, apprehensive, anxious, nervous, inpatient, everything ABOVE! Not to mention exhausted from planning and packing (hair pulled back in a bun, no makeup AT ALL, sleeves rolled up, flip flops, one sock with one of the flip flops, if you could see me now!). Thank you for your well-wishes....You are truly a pure and gentle soul. May Allah guide YOU always dear sweet Gail.

noor ~ I can only imagine how wonderful and hectic things are for you right. But it's all good. I have done more than thumb through the Qur'an. I am reading it very carefully, but slowly. I was reading too much of it at a time and found that I was not absorbing all of it. So I read a little each day.
I agree with one of last posts that pointed out that to everyone you are not really leaving the ES cyber-world. You will simply be posting from Egypt, obviously a place where many of us would like to be!
I am sure your new life will be everything you expect it to be. What an adventure!

Snoozing, KeepinitReal, mysticheart, penny (missed you!), chica and gail,
thanks for all your well wishes. I WILL be back to ES inshallah but definitely NOT as often. I will try to first come back within about 2 weeks and then probably only once a week or so after that. If I take longer than 2 weeks to come back please don't get worried, it just means I'm in my honeymoon and procrastinating making in here. Love to all, my last post will be tomorrow, Inshallah. :X KISSES

My advice to you dirnk bottled water for a least a week when you get there..when I go to visit I used to get sick till I figured out it takes time for my body to coop with the weather and food ..etc..so at least try to drink botttled water for a while till your body lowley gets used to the food..and the weather..

How long is Noor going to be able to stay in Shebin-el-kom Menufiah? How much time will it take her to realize her decision was a mistake? Let's take a bet ; only for those who have been to Shebin and know what sort of a dump this place is.
I say 6 months..

LOL Primak, have you seen DETROIT?? LOL I rest my case Primak used to love to give me a hard time, but I find it rather odd that he comes out now when I'm about to leave, although I've always suspected Primak was really someone else who slithers around every now and then (not saying any names).

Well, I have tried over the years to fill my body with horrible junk filled with processed chemicals and it has made my stomach IRON strong. No just kidding This is good advice I will try to remember it for a while at least. Wow, feels like I'm going to Mexico....

No need to say names, I am who I am for the last 4 years on this forum. Conspiracy theories already...you haven't even got to Shebin! Shebin is a dump, you cannot compare it in anyway to Detroit..in any possible way. I have only just realized you're leaving, haven't been reading this forum for a while, well not all of it. You are into a serious shock dear Noor...be prepared, menoufis ( people from Menoufiah) are also known not to be the nicest of egyptians. Well, a bet is a bet is a bet..maybe I am cruel, but then isn't life cruel? specially in Shebin.
