do u have problems with the phone lines as well.....i try to phone egypt i am living abroad and the mobile either doesnt ring or i get message to say its switched off...had this problem for a few days...now and again i get through.

Which card do you have?
I have been getting them from comfi.com lately. I get them from aloarabs sometimes too. The ones I get advertise 7 cents, however when I use them they sometimes charge double if not more... I am finding the slightly expensive ones to be more accurate.

According to the spokesman for Flag Telecom, while a repair ship is already en route to assess the damage, it could take as long as two or more weeks before the cable can be repaired, and regular Internet service restored to the region.

the news said they are starting the repair but i thinkit is worse then they thought!!!could take days or months! so thoughs of u that have loved ones be patient last time walid lost internet he was so crazy!!! cas someone stole all the wireing!!!! this one will take time call them as much as yal can to remind them yal still care

yes walid said 2 more cables have been cut in the gulf so maybe more time they will need to fix this issue

CNN yesterday said the cable cuts could be SABOTAGE!!!
Maybe something to do with Rafah crossing??
Anyhow the Minister of Communications in yesterdays paper said all internet companies HAVE to refund ONE months subscription to Internet users even if they were slow or disconnected for even ONE day. : )
