Egypt Moving Forward invites you to join us for an exciting celebration of Egyptian life and culture as we welcome the world to the New Egypt.

Beginning at 3:00 PM on February 26th, Luxor Temple Park will come alive with the voices of Luxorians and authentic folkloric entertainment:

Egypt Moving Forward is celebrating culture and unity: coming together, embracing change, and welcoming the world.

Today, Egypt is making new history: a free future for the people. Today, the streets of Egypt are full of newfound liberty, happiness, and the warmth and hospitality the people are famous for. Freedom has brought new life to Egypt.

Egypt Moving Forward is an Egyptian and foreigner collaborative organization committed to the future growth of Egypt. Today, Egypt is in the midst of new and exciting changes. Egypt Moving Forward was founded to embrace these changes and showcase the best of what Egypt has to offer.

Across the Sahara and through the Nile Valley, the sites still stand as majestic as ever, ready to welcome the world back to a mystifying history. The water of the Red Sea is still breathtakingly blue and the reefs just as alluring. The government of Egypt has changed, but the heart and hospitality of the people are warmer than ever. The changes of Egypt have uncovered a long lost treasure of Egypt: hope and freedom. Today, the streets of Egypt ring with the people’s newfound voice: Egypt belongs to Egyptians once again.

Egypt Moving Forward is dedicated to showcasing classic Egypt with a new voice. With newfound pride, Egypt Moving Forward is celebrating all things Egypt and setting the tone for the future. In the rise of this new era, Egypt is full of peace and hope. Now is the time to come to Egypt. Egypt is inviting the world to explore its new history.

Egypt Moving Forward is celebrating culture and unity: coming together, embracing change, and welcoming the world

Google translation, you get the general idea of what it's about:

For his part, said Alaa Companion Coordinator-General of the People's celebration to promote tourism in Luxor's "90 Minutes" that the idea of popular festive Filkolorip Luxor, which will be implemented in the near future came with a group working in Luxor, the tourist sector.

Together with a number of foreign residents to reach out to tourists from around the world return again to Egypt. He pointed out there are 6 different foreign nationalities will be sent a letter to the home language of each nationality, and invite a number of foreign media and reporters for magazines, the World Tourism.

Companion said that the celebration will include presentations of folk art, and offers for months, and traditional handicrafts, which likes to be viewed by tourists.

The event was a huge success, a fantastic day was had by all who came.

We had saeedi music, sufi dancers, Nubian dancers (they were brilliant) Jazz Singer Michelle Rounds (crowd LOVED her, she sang Bob Marley!), a band from Karnak and a Brit rock band, 13 Daze who live in Hurghdah who finished off the night, plus many speakers including the great Godfather of Egyptology Dr Abdel Halim Noor el Din who spoke in Arabic, English, German, a few others AND Heiroglyph!! There were stalls with local crafts being made and so much more.

It was an amazing event to be part of and in talking to the tourist audience later, it was the best part of their holiday and thankfully they had no idea of the chaos going on behind scenes to get this all together!!!

Little late in starting and late in finishing but as it went on it got better and better.
