For them Even if you are a direct Biological decendant of Nubia or Ancient Egypt, but along the way, your people have become culturally Arabic, speak Arabic identify themselves as Arabs, marry into foreigners. You are declared no more Nubians or true Egyptian.

Kenndo

This Sudan for you again, and the so called political elite are the bulk of Nubians whether you like it or not. In Egypt there is no morethan 2 million Nubians live there and the Nuba another one million, and teh Beja, partly Nubians are 1 million, but the arabized Nubians or Arabs of the Sudan are 22.5 million.

That is besides Egyptian Nubians like me, about 2 millions in Sudan.

Sudan population are as follow
5% Arabs like alrashida, mostly bedouins, have no economic or political power

5% Egyptians mixed with North Sudanese Nubians, merchants, and bureacrats. 2.5% OF THOSE ARE COPTIC CHRISTIANS AND UNMIXED WITH LOCAL NUBIAN POPULATION.

45% Arabized Nubians, they claim to be Arab, but some are so black, like VP TAHA. They are arabized and not Arabs, 5% Arab blood does not make you an Arab. This is the political AND CULTURAL elite. Those are the Biggest bulk of Nubians anywhere and there where you find some of them still speak NUBIANS.

5% BEJA, a mix of Nubians and Abysinians.

2% NUBA NUBIANS.

18% Black Darfurians and Central Sudanese Blacks, Non Nubians. Mostly in the army and farmers.

20% Southern Sudanese, Non Nubian group

That is the Sudan for you in a nutshell.

Regards,

Buddy, get your head out of the sand. You may call yourself "Arabized" Nubians, but the Northern Sudanese elites don't even care to give that little amount compromise in their identity. They claim flat out that they are "Arabs". You get the difference? I hope so.

You speak Arabic you are an Arab.

But in the western sense ethnically they are not Arab, they are Nubians, who have been arabized and mixed with Egyptians mainly, but they like to say they have mixed with Arabs from Egypt, while those Arabs from Egypt are not pure Arab themselves.

The Arabized Nubians are the only who still use Nubian words in the midst of their Arabic.

The point was that, these "Arabized" Nubians (as you call them), are not claiming to be Nubians, but rather, they are identifying as Arabs. In other words, they are denouncing their indigenous heritage. You, yourself, said that they still speak their traditional languages; so why insist on the "Arab" identity?

Warning: Brainwashed fake Arabs feel threatened by, just about everyone:

It is important to remember that what is happening in Darfur has literally been happening in the South for nearly half a century. And since the 1980s, when the ware extended into the Nuba Mountains and the Southern Blue Nile, similiar atrocities have been taking place in those parts of the country too. It has always been my view that Sudan suffered from an identity crisis, which needs to be addressed.

In the past, the coutry was seen in the simplistic division between an Arab-Muslim North and an African-Christian-Animist South.

This dichotomy misrepresented not only the complexities of the country's racial composition, but the fact that the majority of the North are non-Arab [ETHNICALLY].

The assertion of the African identity with pride by the Southern liberation struggle has had the effect of raising the consciousness of the non-Arab Northern groups about their African identity.

With the Nuba and the Southern Blue Nile having joined the South in their liberation struggle, the people of Darfur now rising up in protest against their marginalization and discrimination and the people of the east, the Beja, also demanding their rights as a non-Arab group, the country, is being fundamentally challenged to redefine itself in order to reconstruct the national identity framework to be accomodating to all the diversities.

The ruling Arab-Islamic minority has projected the Sudan as an Arab Muslim country, which is a clear distortion of the realities

but see i do not agree with the sudan picture you just gave.

arabs are 39% or less.the reast are black africans including arabized nubians and nubians.

if you are a arabized nubian you see then you are black and the black arabs are former nubians.do you know what former means,do i have to spell it out?
the black arabs greeeet gtreat parents were nubians not these jokers today.

you census numbers are out of incorrect.
i do not know where you get it from.
the arabized nubians are around 4 million and the rest are not arabized and speak nubian as their first language and there are about 2 miilion of them or little more.
there are no egyptian nubians in the sudan that are around 2 million.

you do know that parts of lower nubia in egypt belong really to nubia right and it should be in the sudan but the brits split it up.

Francis Deng is off, let us assume that the Sudan si 39% Arab as the cia stat books states.

Leave ancient History aside and where the Nubian blood has gone.

Sudan is a country of minorities. There is no majority. We are all Africans.

Some are Arab but still Africans,

1- Biggest groups No1 are 39% Arabs.

the CIA fact book adds 70% of Sudan is Muslim and 25% Animist 5%Christian.

This means that

2-Second group, 31% non Arab Muslims
3-Third group 5% Black Christians, few non black, not more than 1/2%.
4-25% Animist blacks.

This is the Sudan, Deng is dishonest to say arabs are a minority and stop there, the whole country is 4 minorities, others bigger than others.

Regards,
