It is quite apparent from the various discussions that have been going on here, that some people from the African Horn feel like they ought be intimately attached to the Ancient Egyptians, and others should stay away from discussing Ancient Egyptians, nothwithstanding that this board was actually supposed to be about discussing ancient Egyptians in the first place. i dont and never have claimed it ....from my understanding....my peeps have never.. since its been others-- who have tried to tie it with example somalia....specially afrocentrics...(cough)

I for one have espoused a connection between Horn Africans and Egyptians but I never made a claim that they were the same people or that Somalis or other Horn groups should have some kind of "claim" to Egypt!
I agree with Supercar that the populations of the Nile Valley were diverse so there are connections.
Oh and as for that quote that Supercar posted, we ALL know who it was who posted it and it was non other than that dumb hyena's ass, Lebs!!

Simplistic response. Ancient Egyptians shared elements of language, culture, genetic and other biological relationships with various African groups. Since, you don't agree with this, go ahead and layout the specifics of these relationships you listed, and explain why others shouldn't discuss the Nile Valley because of the idea that they supposedly don't share any relationship!
For starters, genetic information that can be used to establish relationships between various African groups, has already been provided. Please expound on this, in the event that you dismiss such relationships!
BTW, "Leba" almost sounds like the Amharic term for "thief".

They don't care about Ancient Egyptians, why? Because they are Africans, and they know that Ancient Egyptians died long time ago, isn't it more interesting to think about people who are alive. Now why are you so interested about Ancient Egyptians, that applies to Rasol, Thought, Al Takruri, Topdog...seriously why do you care about Ancient Egypt? I care about all African history, and ancient Egypt is included. Most African heritages had undergone early Eurocentric distortions, with ancient Egypt being among the most famous examples. If one is going to get involved in correcting such injustices, one might as well start with a "cradle of civilization"!
