Very nice book collections you have! I perused the list, and I discovered there was no Shakespeare (All Praise to God!!!)
Why is it,that you must always quote Shakespeare at the end of paper/article so people can take you seriousely. The other day I was reading an article from an Indian..and it very good article until he ended with a quote by the biggest clown in history. I never understood why people like Shakespeare, nerver! He is a joke!

Not really into British literature except maybe for Charles Dickens. I enjoy more literature closer to the working class and urban variety. Nothing wrong with Shakespeare and I enjoy some of his Sonnets and a few stories I have read. The books on my list are those I have personally read and enjoyed. I never read Shakespere throughly unless it was for class.
People will often try to impress people by quoting Shakespere or any other Victorian English author they have probably never read. Not me. Just a real person with avarage taste.
Why do you think Shakespere was the biggest clown in history?

Nice list of books you have Ausar. By the way, most of the European 'Classics' stuff from Shakespeare to Dickens etc. I have read from elementary school to middle school.

I got the book by I Van Sertima ( editor, Blacks in Science) three days ago from amazone, and it opened my eyes to whole new universe. I'm at the first chapter the dogon the sirius star system...just amazing!

I grew up in America but you could probably find a couple of people that listen to old school soul music in Egypt. Most Egyptians tend to be more into rock music.
I got tired of listening to the stuff they play on the radio so I listen to old school soul like Bobby Womack. Womack is better than most stuff out know.
My favoriet Womack song is ''That's the Way I feel about Ya''

Personally I like both rap and rock music but the rap scene has become somewhat mundane lately.

I can agree with that assessment, lately anyway. I like music in too many genres to name, but like ausar (even tho I'm young) I'm more into oldschool. How can you not be in my opinion.
Anyway I'm going to Borders in a few and I'm about to buy one (or more) fo your picks if they have it. Any suggestions for me?

I am aware of Robin Walker's When We Ruled but never read it so I cannot comment. What I do know is Robin Walker always throughly documents his reserch with solid facts. The book is too expensice for me and hard to obtain due to my location.

I am currently reading When We Ruled by Robin Walker. It's a good book and worth the price it's being sold for I paid $80 for my copy and I wouldn't hesitate to pay more for this book because the author does a good job documenting his claims plus this is one of the first Afrocentric works that I have seen with good quality color pictures in the book, his publisher did a good job in my opinion. So far the book is a little weak when it comes to Kemet, though it really does a GREAT job of highlighting the history of Afrikans who lived in areas of North,South, West and Central Africa. If your new to Afrocentrism and you get a chance to buy this book, take it because it's hard to get. Copies of this book are constantly being sold out at Africana book stores that get them.

I've been trying to read Malcolm's bio , many folk reccomand this book to me but i have been busy, that will be my first choice when i have time in the evenings Insha-allah
