I apologize to the veterans on this forum for posting information that they're already familiar with, but I feel it's necessary for the newbies who come here frequently and with confused or distorted notions regarding the Ancient Egyptians, and who often come with the following delusions:
Self-delusion A recent post started out with "Some claim that Kemet means black people". The key word in this first statement is "claim" which is a synonym for "believe", which seeks to place a human language in the same category as religion. One can believe in or not believe in God, that's one thing; but you don't believe that "veni" in Latin means "I came"; you either KNOW it or you don't. However, this delusion leads to one that has been fabricated by the distorters of Egyptology.
Assisted delusion "The Egyptians called their country "Kmt" or "Kemet" which means "Black" after the color of the soil." This is simply an absolute lie. There is nothing in the grammar, even if one were to use an electron microscope to search for an example, that the soil or earth had any connection with the usage of this word. The only references to the soil in the names of Ancient Egypt were the names "TaMeri and TaMere"; "Ta" meaning "earth, land, etc." This mantra is almost always repeated to "inform" the reader of why the word "Black" for Egypt and Egyptians was used, and probably using the age old philosophy that if you repeat a lie often enough, and long enough, it soon becomes accepted as the truth. NOT if one knows better...

NOTE HOW KAMMAU OR "BLACKS" IS CAMOUFLAGED AS "EGYPTIANS"
NOTE: KAMTI OR "BLACK IMAGE" OR "SACRED IMAGE" IS 'REDUCED' TO MERELY "IMAGE"
NOTE HERE HOW "KAMI (KOUI)" OR "BLACK COW" BECOMES 'CREATIVE' WHEN "KAMI (SHOIT)" OR "BLACK BOOK(S)" 'MAGICALLY' BECOMES - "BOOKS OF THE BLACK LAND"; ENTIRELY MADE UP IN ORDER TO SUPPORT THE CATECHISM...
KAMI (SHOIT) MEANS "BLACK LITERATURE", PLAIN AND SIMPLE! Posts: 3344 | From: Berkeley | Registered: Oct 2003

^ LOL, as usual, I hear childish emotional outbursts, but no scholarship presented to refute the post. Actually, what has been posted is pretty much accepted by the mainstream. Where are your refuting links American Hammer?

The Ancient Egyptian determinative, determines the specificity of a noun.
Thus, the glyph Rome.t/Lome.t followed by the determinative "man and woman" means that this noun specifically refers to "people":
Rome.t & Lome.t = "People" in Mdu Ntr
Or, the glyph "Kami" or "Black" followed by the determinative "koui" or "cow" clearly specifies that the word means "Black cow."
Now, in the name of their nation - "Kmt" - which is determined by "nw" and NOWHERE within this noun is the Mdu Ntr determinatives for "land"; no "ateb", no "ta" glyphs anywhere, except in the minds of those who wish to insinuate their own ideology into the equation by simply lying...
KM.T (Nu)
NU: VILLAGE, HAMLET, TOWN, CITY, COMMUNITY, SETTLEMENT, NATIVES, URBAN...
WHERE'S THE REFERENCE TO 'LAND', 'EARTH'. 'SOIL', 'SILT', 'DIRT' EXCEPT WITHIN THE MINDS OF THE EASILY DELUDED...Posts: 3344 | From: Berkeley | Registered: Oct 2003

Please note that in the seventh glyph above, is the rendering of "Egypt" as "Kamu.t" - and you will not find ANY Egyptologist ANYWHERE who would publicly deny that in the Mdu Ntr that "Kamu" means anything other than "Blacks" - a community/nation...

As you are obviously intellectually null and void, perhaps you might invite comment here from The Egyptology department at the University of memphis on what I have presented in this thread. I would certainly welcome an academic assessment of my presentation of facts as opposed to the whimpering blabberings of an infantile mind, which may in fact be an 'educator' in the United States school system!

If that's your PLAN, I'd suggest you follow up your WARNINGS with some form of rebuttal information since YOU lack a Phd in Egyptology. Perhaps than, someone will actually consider your warnings.
LOL, and I can believe YOU of all people are labelling someone as racist. LMAO!
